Fragging a 14" Sarcophyton (Toadstool leather)

How long are the polyps on that toadstool? I ask because down the line I would like a coral to (hopefully) serve as a host for some percs. A long-polyped Sarcophyton seemed like a possibility.

They are about 1". I expect they would close up if a clown tried to host in them, at least at first. I'm not sure if they would get used to this over time and stay out or not though. Maybe someone else has experience with clowns hosting in a toadstool?

My citron goby sits on it all the time. The first few times, it would close up, now it doesn't seem to care.
