Well, I woke up to find my BTA had migrated to right on top of some zoas. I had taken the opportunity of it being detatched the other day to move it from in the back of the tank but I think it's trying to get back there again. Yesterday it was hanging upside down from under the tunnel in front of the spot in the back where it used to be (not where I had placed it). Maybe it prefers low flow and not such bright light?

So, should Iwrite off those zoas?

I've had zoas in bad places before, most of the time they just move also. I'd just point a power head on the BTA to make it move if you want to save the zoas.

BTAs frequently attach to the underside of rocky ledges and extend the tentacles toward light. The only alternative it may prefer would be a rocky cave providing more protection for its base.

The zoa's and BTA will likely exchange some damage, not sure who will win.

Well, another update. The BTA was still partly on the zoas when I got back from the meeting, but wasn't attatched onto them, so I put it back in the back of the tank where it had stayed for so long. The clowns are happy to have it back in their house. I would prefer not having to look through the end of the tank to see it, but oh well.
