Tank

240 Gallon up and running 7/30/07

2 inch drains in 1 inch returns

ASM G3 Skimmer

 

Main pumps two 1262 ehiem

 

Vortech pump in center on back for flow

 

Sump 50 gallon tub from Factrory supply

 

2 heaters in sump

 

Refugium 10 gallon plumed from sump back into the sump

 

Lighting

vho icecap 660 ballasts 8 36 inch lights will have to get bulb selection in future

 

3MH 150 coralife hangons modified mounts for me application

Thanks! I fixed the name for you.

 

I also have a couple of questions for you. Is that a rimless tank all the way around? Also, how do you feel about the clear overflows (and is there anything on them to strain the water or does it simply flow over the edge)? What are some of the pros and cons of them? I know that most overflows are opaque so that you can't see what's in them, but I had Dan build me an overflow/skimmer box with a clear side so that I can see into it, any advantages to this arrangement that you have noticed with your setup?

center and side supports euro braced I think.

 

 

I have no screens on the overflows the fish seem to stay away only have had one go down but no others.

 

 

I do not mind the glass overflows but I will let the purple cover them havent painted the back either i wlike it that way so i can look in the back. I do like the clear so you can see if anything is going wrong.

Just updating my tank build had a tank leak in July 2008 here are some pics of that.

Hers a few pics of my mess and what I rigged up when it was leaking.

After shots took about 8 hours to get everything swapped over still have to place some of the corals from the frag tank.

Now here is what I have been building for the next addition and to try and organize things some.

All panels are removable. I still need to make the doors for the cabinet and paint everything.

The plan is to put another tank here not the TV and computer have a 55 but I think I may go bigger not sure yet.
