YBeNormal January 5, 2008 January 5, 2008 They can be submerged. My pH reading drops if the top of the probe is submerged. I verified this a few minutes ago. When the top of the probe was submerged, pH readings dropped to 3.39 within a few seconds. Pulled the top of the probe out of the water and pH reading returned to the previous reading. Defective probe maybe?
dhoch January 5, 2008 January 5, 2008 The probes are NOT designed to be 100% submerged. That may work, but they are not designed that way. Dave
lletellier January 5, 2008 January 5, 2008 ok so a drop to 7.8 overnight is ok nothing to cause concern? I looked and that is what mine was at this morning when my lights first came on. Would it be beneficial to do something over night to keep the PH up?
dhoch January 5, 2008 January 5, 2008 Not a big deal... Before I was dosing kalk that's what would happen to mine. Dave
