lanman November 14, 2007 Share November 14, 2007 Okay - I THOUGHT that Sunlight Supply had 60" TEK fixtures - but the longest they have is 48". Anyone know who might carry 60" 80W T5 HO fixtures? Not DIY's - actual fixtures like the TEK. Web links appreciated. If I can't find some I like - I might be forced to go with MH's. bob

zotzer November 15, 2007 Share November 15, 2007 Maybe you can run the fixtures width-wise. Are you going to have a hood? Tracy
lanman November 15, 2007 Author Share November 15, 2007 Maybe you can run the fixtures width-wise. Are you going to have a hood? Tracy I've considered that. The tank is 5' x 3' - - and 36" fixtures are easy to come by. My only concern is ability to get my arms into the tank around all the fixtures. Of course, I could slide them around. I'm planning a 'faux' hood. Just front and sides to make it pretty. And quite easily removed for working in the tank. bob
rioreef November 15, 2007 Share November 15, 2007 ReefGeek has the TEK retrofit, but I believe you are looking for a complete unit. Give Greg a call at ReefGeek, he might be able to assist you.
lanman November 15, 2007 Author Share November 15, 2007 Sent e-mail to Sunlight Supply. Although not pictured on their website, they do now carry a 60" version of these: http://www.sunlightsupply.com/product.cfm?...ys%3D%26pgi%3D1 Would require me to build a hood, but NOT wire things up. However, it would leave me with a whole bunch of power cords How many you think I need? 160W per fixture. 4 fixtures (8 lights) would be about 640W. 5 fixtures (10 bulbs), would be about 800W. bob
