Okay - I THOUGHT that Sunlight Supply had 60" TEK fixtures - but the longest they have is 48". Anyone know who might carry 60" 80W T5 HO fixtures? Not DIY's - actual fixtures like the TEK. Web links appreciated. If I can't find some I like - I might be forced to go with MH's.

Most 80wt set ups I am aware of are 72", if you have a Euro dollar budget...Pretty sure the Reflexx is one of the few in 150cm(60") but I don't see it here, ask ;>)

Pretty sure the 150cm Arcadia uses 48" tubes:

Edit: Got a hit on reflexx at Marine Depot, call them too :D

Maybe you can run the fixtures width-wise. Are you going to have a hood?

I've considered that. The tank is 5' x 3' - - and 36" fixtures are easy to come by. My only concern is ability to get my arms into the tank around all the fixtures. Of course, I could slide them around. I'm planning a 'faux' hood. Just front and sides to make it pretty. And quite easily removed for working in the tank.

Sent e-mail to Sunlight Supply. Although not pictured on their website, they do now carry a 60" version of these:

Would require me to build a hood, but NOT wire things up. However, it would leave me with a whole bunch of power cords :)

How many you think I need? 160W per fixture. 4 fixtures (8 lights) would be about 640W. 5 fixtures (10 bulbs), would be about 800W.
