Pocillopora - sexual reproduction?

My green-tipped Pocillopora in my frag tank suddenly has black spots on it. Could this be preparation for sexual reproduction? I know someone on here mentioned theirs had 'done it' before.

 

 

 

Any ideas??

No. But my poci have the same "black spots"....and I have a few!

You should get that checked out at your local clinic bob, black spots sound like a problem to me

My Pocillopora has self propagated quite a bit, never noticed any black spots pre or post, just lots of Pocillopora off-spring around the tank, including on my 10" Deresa, shame it's just a dull brown colour.

Yeah... the 'frag' that I keep knocking pieces off of is looking better than the 'colony' that I have in my main tank! I may have to switch.
