new bulbs

it was past time to switch my bulbs and i was trying to decide what bulbs would give me decent par without being so white. i have found that bulb. i cant wait to see how blue it is once it burns in. right now it almost looks like a 20k bulb. i am very satisfied with the purchase.

dag i have been discovered. i will still be going with the helios bulbs. these bulbs were for my sucky fixture before i replace my lights as a whole. now for the moment you two have been waitin for. they are 14 phoenix bulbs. yea!

the 14K phoenix bulbs are great. I have them in my tank love the color. Im not sure about the grow though. I have half the tank on 10K XM and the other half on 14K phoenix. Seem like the 10K XM side have faster grow that actually show even though it make that side of my tank yellow. But i only run my MH for about 4~5hrs/day and i hardly even home to look at that yellow color so i dont mind. Im switching out to all 10K

yea 10k bulbs are usually better for growth. once you go above that color temp is for aesthetics. i am more interested in color and visual effects than growth

Cool, glad I'm no longer going to be the only one running the 20,000K Helios bulbs! Man, I really need to get my tank set up...

nah dave i still like the helios bulbs. i guess it will be you and i in that club. by the way i would like to come by again when you get the tank up so i can see how it looks through the glass.
