according to my son, walmart brand purified water tastes like regular tap water - I don't know what difference it makes as far as fish go. The Safeway if you fill yourself but use their jugs, is 64 or 69 cents.

 

Jason, I'm assuming the water sits for a while before you use it.

No not really, straight out of my bath tub spigot... about 2-4 liters of the stuff a day, how ever for convience I've now added a manually operated ATO (ie power head with a switch on it that I flip on when I notice the tank is down) so the water now sits under my stand in a 5 gallon bucket, which i assume after 24-48 hours has time to dechlorinate itself
