Guest clownfish4 December 18, 2004 Share December 18, 2004 If you buy a fish and it shows absolutely no sign of disease or troubles, how long should you leave it in quarrantine? Should you still wait 4 weeks even if they never show a single sign?
xeon December 18, 2004 Share December 18, 2004 I think four weeks is a good number if you don't see anything to worry about. Here's a nice article I have bookmarked on quarantining. http://reefkeeping.com/issues/2004-10/sp/feature/index.htm
Guest HVF21221 December 20, 2004 Share December 20, 2004 4 weeks, I have had a pair of blue stripe clowns look great for weeks then one died on day 15 and the other on day 16 from brook. I mean these fish were flawless and eating great. Then the tough part is letting the QT go fallow for a month before you try another pair(if you want to save the QT's biological filtration)
