how to cut eggcrate to put it on the tank and the process from purchase to installation. also how much does it cost relatively speaking

I like cutting it with a very fine saber saw blade, or a dremel for percise cuts, remember though melting plastic binds blades... I haven't bought any in a while but I think i remember it being kinda expensive like 12 dollars a light fixture sized sheet

It is kind of hard to understand that....but if I understand correctly.

You can cut an eggcrate many ways. My personal favorite is taking side snips and cut a path and break off the extra tabs. For some reason I enjoy doing that. You can also use a Dremel type tool or any fine saw (just take it easy).

You can get an eggcreate for about $11 at Home Depot. They are often referred to as Light Diffusers and you can find them in the lighting section; specifically by the florescent lights.

I cut it on my table saw. Odd cuts are made with a jigsaw, scrollsaw, drimmel or by snapping pieces off with a pair of pliers.

HD and Lowes often have pieces that have been cracked or with broken edges and will sell the entire piece for a couple of bucks. You just have to point it out and ask if they are willing to sell it at a discount since it is broken. ;)

great cuz i dont have a saw. i will just cut it with pliers. so how big do these sheets come as?

I use wire cutter and sometime when I don't have patience, I just chop it up with some hard metal piece- it would just break even through a row without destroying the structure.
