Reef store in southern MD?

Hi everyone,

 

At the last meeting I heard of a reef store that was located in or around southern Maryland just off the beltway.  I was wondering if someone could post the name and maybe the location so I can figure out how to get there  A phone number would be great too.

Was that Roozen's Nursery that you are thinking of?  Sorry, don't have the number off hand.  Scott prevyet should be able to give directions as it is over in their neck of the woods.

as for the aptasia yes I have seen a bunch , but it's getting better, and they are planning to upgrade the systems.

Give them sugestions on what you think they should change in that place...I know it could be a lot better.

Just be carefull what you get, you do find nice stuff there.

Best time to go to Roozens is monday at 1000.  That's when their weekly shipment comes in, and when all the fresh goodies arrive, aiptasia free.

 

They do indeed have an impressive aiptasia culture, though,

I am very glad to see the link to the web site. Now I can at least print the price list if I ever go there instead of asking for every freaking thing since they don't post prices.

If I wasn't moving in a year and didn't know that most fish wouldn't make the cross country move in the middle of the winter, I would end up maybe buying a large number of fish from them. Of course, I would ahve to quarintine them for like a year :D  :D  :D

I have asked two times about a club discount and they told me the prices are already under other stores after discount prices.  Which is kinda true.

I would like to know where is this rock that is posted on their web site.

 

I have seen the "basin" and the boxes of rock stacked on the side for weeks.  Maybe its part of the new system Rob mentioned.

That is why we have repeatedly asked in the past to post comments about stores in the "WAMAS MEMBERS" section.

 

Your are free and welcome to bash there.  Everyone has the right to publish their opinion, I just ask that you keep it to the "member section" so that our few members who do shop at stores that others bash, will at least have an enjoyable experience.

Personally, I really like Roozens. They have good prices and good selections of fishes and corals, especailly SPS.

 

They have their problems, but then who doesn't.

Well I managed to find it. It turned out to be an interesting trip and we had fun so all was good.  Wow what a selection they had.  I ended up getting a long tentacle plate coral and a mushroom.  After doing some more research today about the plate coral, I hope that wasn't a mistake.  My girlfriend really fell in love with it .  Now i just need to keep it alive!
