Yeah - unfortunatly the two ways I know how to popagate these guys

are both fairly destructive. Don't think I'd be able to get myself to do it.

Nice peice! I agree, I had one that started to die off and i fragged it into fours and it still looks the same (has not grown into a circle) but each peice has about 4-6 mouths now. IMO the frags are ugly and dont grow very fast.

Ok - I'm not going to be fragging this one then

 

The other technique I've heard about and seen in person is to

stress the plate enough that it dies / appears to die. Then leave

the skeleton in the tank. A couple of months later, babies start

popping out from the skeleton. Terrible that the animal has to

die w/ this technique though.

mine produced mutiple heads on the skeleton but i am not too sure how to transfer to something else (live rock)??
