Its a new setup, been up and running 4 weeks or more and did go through the cycle, now its all green algae. Any idea whats up going on here. Picture attached. Any advice or help is much appreciated. Your tank is just starting to go through it's phases, even though it's done with the cycle this is all part of the ride. From the picture, I don't see any clean up crew (CUC), I'd suggest adding a few snails and hermits, they will clean the rock and sand for you. Keep doing water changes and feed light (looks like 2 fish?). Eventually that rock will go from white, to green, to brown, to gray/purple. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

wildcrazyjoker81 October 24, 2022 Share October 24, 2022 Agreed with what was posted above. We all go through it. My new 220G is covered in green rock at the moment as well. It is all part of the cycle and completely normal. Definitely make sure to get some clean up crew and even pods in there as they are great scavengers.
