dschflier October 4, 2006 October 4, 2006 I am aware this thread has probbably been out before but I will ask the question again. My tank currently consistes of a 210 display, 46 gal refug, 20 gal frag tank, and about 100 gal in sumps. I would estimate after rocks, sand corals and all I have about 325-350 gallons. I am looking for a good skimmer that can handle the load and is not much over $400 . $425 tops. my bio load consists of 3 tangs, 1 fox face, pair maroon clowns, pair of tomato clowns, six line wrasse, juvenille emperotor, lawn mower blemmy, hawk fish, niger trigger and yuma yuma trigger, 3 yellow tail damsels, 3 blue chromis, many crabs and snails, 2 brittle stars. Any suggestions would be great. Also places with reasonable prices would also be helpfull.
steveoutlaw October 4, 2006 October 4, 2006 I say go with the ASM G4 and do the mods on it. I have the G3 on my system with the gatevalve mod and it skims like a champ. I'm going to do the recirc mod on it this weekend so it should be even better. I have a 210g with a 55g sump. Bio-load: Gold Spotted Rabbitfish 2 Yellow Tangs Blue Hippo Tang 2 Clowns 6 line Wrasse I also used to have a Powder Blue Tang......but he messed with the Rabbitfish and......well, lets just say I haven't seen him in a while. However I plan on adding another PBT, a Naso Tang, and 5 Orange Anthias. Check out this discussion: http://www.wamas.org/forums/index.php?showtopic=10027
