treesprite August 25, 2022 Share August 25, 2022 I was gonna replace my T5 bulbs for my 29g, but after a week of looking at prices, I decided to use this LED fixture which I had laying around. I burned some stuff using this fixture in the past, so if someone has some tips for intensity settings and distance from the surface, I'd really appreciate hearing them. There's no brand on it. It says 120 watts, has two knobs to adjust brightness, and has 3 fans. I still need to get something from which to hang it - sitting it low like this puts all the light in a central area, and there is a risk of a rambunctious, water-loving, high jumping kitten giving it a dunk. Thanks.
howaboutme August 25, 2022 Share August 25, 2022 It looks like an offshoot of the Evergrow D120 that a lot of us got from group buys many years ago. I had one on my 29G and just centered it about 10" or so above the water. I only turned them up to no more than 50% (blues higher than whites). They are strong lights and will fry a lot of corals. If you search D120 on WAMAS you'll get tons of posts I suspect.
YHSublime August 25, 2022 Share August 25, 2022 What Jack said above, looks like D120 knock off. Start low and then work up.
