Im basically asking is it possible to make the Euro Reef RS8-3 an external skimmer.

As most of you know I am looking for a skimmer and have posted a couple of threads about certain ones. This time I have found a really good deal on an RS8-3 but the problem is that it is too tall to fit under my tank. I was thinking that I could or someone else(a little more experienced) could turn it into a recirculating skimmer so that I could put it outside my stand. But now the problem is how will i get the water inside the skimmer because the skimmer has a hole at the bottom where the inlet pump is supposed to go but I dont think there is any possible way you could get a feeder pump(which will be inside my sump) to connect down there, is there? Hey, I just found out about this skimmer from a fellow WAMAS member and was wondering if anyone around the club is using one of these or has used it. If you have this skimmer or have used it please give me some input. Would you reccomend this skimmer? Why or why not? What are the good and the bads? Thanks, Ali

I found a pretty good deal on reef central on a ER CS8-2. The only bad part is that it has 2 little one inch cracks by the the inlet pump. The person selling the skimmer says that it doesnt affect its performance and that he has glued it up. Should I buy this skimmer? or is it a bad idea? Heres the picture Thanks, Ali

Hey, I have had my Coralife Super Skimmer 220 for about a year almost and it has been skimming great and all of a sudden it stops creating microbubbles but then its starts creating them again. Whats going on? Do I need to clean the motor or something? Should I run vinegar through it? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks, Ali

How does the dosing work for this? Where is a cheap place to buy Dow Flake and Mag Flake online or locally How many of you guys/gals use this? What were the outcomes of using it, good or bad? Thanks, Ali

Gman91 Im sorry but you did promise to give me 20 dollars within the next week. I called you and put you on speaker, my brother and I heard you say that you will give me 20 dollars. Also when I left your house you told me if I had any problems to call you. So I did and you said that you would refund me 20 dollars next week because you had just gotten into an accident and you didnt have any money. I still dont understand why you lied and said that I tested it out at your house in a PM. If your telling the truth what is the point of lying in the first place? I would greatly appreciate it if you please explained to me why you had said this lie.

Hey, About a month ago I bought lights from a guy on this board known as Gman91. The deal was great, a dual 250W ballast with 2 bulbs for pretty cheap. When I got home from his house and connected everything up I found out that one of the bulbs which he sold me wasnt working. It was pretty late that day when I found out so I decided to call him the next day so I didnt disturb him. So when I called him the next day we came to an agreement where he specifically said "I will give you $20 next week when I get my paycheck, I have gotten in an accident." Well its been about a month and I have contacted him asking him if he has come up with the 20 dollars and I got his reply to day. He came up with an excuse saying that I checked to see if the lights worked at his house, which I didnt, and said that I broke them myself. I have two witnesses. One was with me and saw that I didnt try the lights. Another was with me when I was talking to him about the $20, I had put him on speaker. Now when I try sending him a pm it says that he has blocked me and that he is uncontactable. You guys be the judges who is doing the wrong thing here. Just a heads up, do not buy anything from this guy. Ali

I have a mixed reef and can keep anything which you want me to keep for you. Zoo's and ricordia are doing the best in my tank. I can keep you clams but I dont know if my angel would nip on them. Ali

How did you acclimate ur lights?

I have found a 2-3yr old cool touch lighting magnetic ballast. Is this too old of a ballast? How long do they usually run. Should I get it?

By any chance do you have a picture?

I sort of leaning towards 10k or 14k xm bulbs. I love the way the xm 10k's look. I have seen them in person and i like the way they look. Anyone else have 10k xm's? or some 14k bulb?
