[Recommendation for Glass tank builder.]

I am doing both. Lead times on glass tanks though are going about 4+weeks now. Acrylic is about 2-3 weeks now. I am not as cheap as GC is. I do the bevelled glass edges. I have access to a waterjet so I can do most any custom cutouts in glass. Everything though is costly when doing those options. I have pictures of what I sent to Sean at F&F if he does not but, I'll let him chime in on things. I do have a 31"x31"x31" Starphire rimless cube going to him next.

For anyone that is looking to do a steel stand I do weld steel stands for aquariums. I use anything from 1"to 3" square tubing.

I have some 3/4" 8' long pieces that are 13" tall

I've got a custom frag tank special that will run this week only. The frag tank can be up to 36" long and no wider than 20" and no taller than 8".

 

They will be built with 1/2" material and will be rimless/braceless. Overflows will be $20 extra

I have a lot of scrap 1/2" material this month. A lot of pieces 6ft. by 22" and if you want a frag tank I have a lot of 8",10",12" pieces that are 6ft. long. I can offer great deals on frag tanks especially if your thinking of doing a shallow frag tank.

If anyone has something cracked or broken that they think can be repaired I can fix it for them at no charge.

 

Just email me first with what the problem is so I can prepare for it and just bring it by. In most cases I can fix it while you wait. There is no charge for this if your a WAMAS member. I am in Crofton Maryland right off of Maryland Rte. 50.

this build was done last summer. I started this thread not fully realizing that he really doesn't go on the boards hardly. The posts he has done here are ones that I asked him to respond to. Perhaps one day he'll update but don't hold your breath.

 

I know he has it running I just don't know how his stocking of the tank is going.

I have a lot of material in stock for fast turn arounds on custom sumps and frag tanks. If your looking for an acrylic cube tank 3 feet square or less I have lots of material for those as well.

Turn around on these is less than a week.

 

Glass tanks-

 

are running about 2-4 weeks right now. We are having glass water jetted for greater options with glass tanks. We are able to offer having teeth routed out in GLASS. We also have done some slots in the back of glass tanks for overflows. We can do everything from simple seamed edges to poished bevelled edges. Black silicone is standard.

I am running a sump and frag tank special on acrylic sumps and frag tanks. I do have plenty of material for some 2x2' cube tanks along with plenty of 1/2" material for 3x3' cube tanks. If you have a need for a top off tank I can offer a great deal on those as well.

 

Overflows will be $25 extra below 12" tall and $45 for 12" to 16" and $75 for 16" to 24"

filter sock holders will be $25 per.

 

2ft. sumps aprox. $150 height and width will make that go up or down

The above would be for sumps 14" by 14". Larger dimensions extra

 

I will be running and auction on a 3'x2'x2' glass tank with Starphire on 3 sides with back black overflow. Drilled for returns and drains. 1/2" Starphire. Look for it in the auction forum.

[Lots of material leftover for tanks]

Been a while since I have been on the boards. I have been very busy with some large projects but, have now piled up a lot of extra scrap material.

 

I have lots of material for shallow frag tanks in particular. I also have a ton of 1" and 1.25" material taken from a bank that closed down. If someone was looking for a large tank needing this thick of material I can do a very good price.

 

I have a glass tank 36" by 24" by 24" with starphire glass on three sides and a back center overflow that I am selling at a discount. Tank is new built just last month. Made with 1/2" glass and a 1/2" acrylic top.
