  1. I'm horrible with mesuring bulkhead so I have a couple extra. I think the big chunky is 1.25in but the smaller one may work .75 or an inch. In silver spring.
  2. Sorry for the late reply. I've been slowly adding equipment to my closet. I picked up a brand new red sea 525 v2 sump from @JJKK. I'm a BRS sump so of course I'm using a kessil t5 hybrid. I have the 48in hybrid fixture but will buy extra kessils down the line when I add coral.
  3. I ordered the 108 int corner overflow. Should be coming any day now. I found generally good reviews for fiji cube. While I didn't find many long term examples (10years+), I didn't find any seal failures either. Customer service responds quickly. I received free shipping. UPS is horrible but that's another story. Ill respond next week with pictures. For me, this was one of the only options. There are very few peninsula tanks at this size. I say if the price is right pull the trigger.
  4. Thanks your a dime! Sent from my SM-G988U1 using Tapatalk
  5. Do you have a link perchance? I see a lot of 30gal fiji cube builds. Sent from my SM-G988U1 using Tapatalk
  6. I am shopping for ~ 100 gal display tank. I really like FIJI Aquariums 108 INT Corner Overflow. Ive found that reviews for these aquariums are hard to find online. I would go Waterbox or Red sea because of their long track record but my wife hates the stands. Fiji Cube 108 Gallon w/Internal Corner Overflow Rimless Tank Main Features: Top, Middle and Bottom weir design - allows for the removal of the water and debris from the middle and bottom area of the aquarium and the removal of bacteria film from the surface Ultra-Clear Low Iron Glass Rimless Design Black Silicone *Due to larger size and higher weight of... www.fijicube.com Is there anyone our there with a large rimless Fiji aquarium that can attest to the lifespan, Seals of these aquariums? At $1500 I want this aquarium to go the distance (10+ years). Hearing about some long term successes would be a great confidence builder. Im also interested in more information about the type of overflow they use and if it is quite. Is there a different manufacturer that makes a 48x24x24 that could be used as a peninsula tank? Happy Reefing, Thank you in advance for your advice
  7. Hi Guys, I plan on putting a 120gal with oak stand on my 1st floor. From my best guess the spot where i intend to put it is directly over the steel girder that runs the length of the house. Does anyone have a good contact for a structural engineer that could come out and look? Im in Silver Spring.
  8. I have consistently good growth. If not for that I would be more worried. I do also have a potters angel. It doesnt puck at the zoas, acan, frogspon, or montipora. Ive never seen it peck at the acro but I'm thinking its the culprit. I'll need to find a nice home for it in the next year if I do not upgrade. Oh and I do see PE at night.
  9. Technically its layhill south I suppose. We found a nice neighborhood to settle in.
  10. Hello DMV! I started reef keeping around 2 years ago. Still only 1 tank in. I am a chemist in Rockville area. Ive had pretty good luck so far with my 20 gallon mixed reef and wanted to formally join the community. I'll create a thread for my tank soon but here are a couple of pics. Im itching to upgrade to a ~100gal peninsula. Main bains are vermitid and no polyp extension. Brice
