yeah I was hoping to build one for around 100 to 150 I think I will just stick to putting everything on timers

I am just wondering why I got such a drastic change in colors when I fragged from my main colony the top picture is the colony the bottom picture are the frags.

what kind of overflow are you looking for? if your looking for a hang on I have had good luck with the cpr cs100 on my 40g breeder

so I have spent the last few days looking up stuff for a DIY Reef Controller and I still have no clue as where to start. all I want it to do is monitor PH and Temp and turn on and off lights fans and heaters. shouldnt be too hard right.

I have 2 T8 36" tubes 1 is a Ocean Sun 10k and the other is a Reef Sun 50/50 I bought them by mistake awhile ago cant use them so they are free to a good home

also you can check out Roozen's Nursery in Ft. Washington MD they arent selling fish anymore but they still have some equipment they will probably make you a good deal -

I have the ABI bulb on my frag tank hasnt hurt anything yet -
I wore gloves and eye protection when I fragged those was just worried cause the color change was so drastic after I fragged them off the main colony

so I fragged off a couple polyps from my fire and ice zoa colony and I think I may have bleached it out in my frag tank first picture is of the colony second picture is the frags

thanks I wanted to go with less rock and have more open space which is why I use that plate of cermedia in the sump

HI I'm fairly new to the hobby right now I have a 40g breeder set up with a 20gal sump and a small home made frag tank. lighting is a no name 36 inch quad t5 with led moonlights running 2 ati true actinics 1 coral plus and 1 purple plus. frag tank has a ABI LED Aquarium Light Bulb, 12W (Royal Blue 450nm + Cold White 10000K + Actinic Blue 425nm + Blue 470nm) and a first gen fluval marine led 24inch. cheap won brothers ventruri skimmer with rio 1700 pump. using cermedia with live rock and active carbon bags. I live near Andrews Air Base so if anyone ever wants to do any frag trading let me know
