  1. I know I may be asking for the world +1, but hey, some people DO win the lottery! If anyone can help me out with suggestions, I would be infinitely grateful!!! I cannot, and absolutely AM not spending a ton more money, but I would need to find a fixture that I can rely upon and trust(that’s gonna be a toughie). I need to find something that just plain does NOT have problems. Does anyone have any thoughts or ideas of what , if there is anything, would work for me? I might sound picky, but if youve talked to me before and knew my situation, or saw my previous post about my Red Sea reefLEDs, then u can understand why i might be getting a little on the picky side! I’d really LIKE to have an LED fixture that is as good as people make them sound like they are, and not have to go back to T5s, or halides, but at this point I 100% do not believe that’s gonna happen. I’ve never had a single problem with any lights every, except from getting very old and overused, be it incandescent, fluorescent, PC, halide, or T5, but all 3 LED fixtures I’ve tried.....well, I’m already an idiot for giving them a 3rd chance, let alone even considering a 4th! Fool me once.....how often do people get to “Well, fool me four times....”! Lol *i DID learn ONE lesson, though! I would only be interested in anything that is, or can be manual—where you can set/run/do everything manually o the fixture itself.
  2. Hi, I have this 2.5/ 3gal fluval that has a freshwater light, I may have already posted this question somewhere else. BUT I am thinking of purchasing a Par 30 or 38 bulb on a gooseneck, with the hopes of doing softies-- generally a zoa garden with a goby- main goal but MAYBE some LPS/ SPS? depending how it goes down the road- i do not need overkill lights at the current moment. But these lights only have an on off, there is no switch to only put on the actinic. I was wondering should I get an all Actinic bulb as well, or should is there something that can provide some "moon light" at night. or is that just unnecessary all together? Here is the Bulb i was planning on, if anyone knows of a better one please let me know :-D I am trying to do this tank on a shoestring as much as possible because it is so small, i just do not want to spend hundreds of dollars on a light. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00CXTZN2Q/ref=ox_sc_act_title_3?ie=UTF8&psc=1&smid=A2TWRNEH2276JE https://www.amazon.com/LUMENTEK-Aquarium-Light-Lighting-Aquariums/dp/B01G4BRRN6/ref=sr_1_1?s=pet-supplies&ie=UTF8&qid=1469562829&sr=1-1&keywords=par+38+reef+bulb Any opinions and recommendations appreciated.
  3. I went to the place which I normally fill my welding tanks (lowest prices) and asked them the CO2 prices. There is no discount necessary and they are open seven days a week. To swap an aluminum bottle: 10lb bottle $20.35 15lb bottle $22.42 20lb bottle $24.50 All prices already have taxes added in so this is what you actually pay.
