Thanks yall. This may sound like a crazy question...but what the heck is egg crate. I tried looking it up. Is it something specifically made for aquarium or just anything designed like an egg crate?

Thanks, Yes it is reef ready and I did get some additional information. they website suggest that it be in water between 8 and 9 inches. Currently it is in 11 inches of water. can I put some rocks or cups under it to lift it 2 inches? I am assuming this has noting to do with the micro bubbles though

Hi guys, I have my skimmer in my middle chamber because it doesn't fit in the far left. With that said what should I put on the left...rocks? I turned off the pump...and the water in the sump gets pretty high...is that ok? When the pump is on the water where the return is gets pretty low..should I have any cocerns...I'll post pics later..pics on my phone but tapatalk is giving me an error when I try to upload

I am in the process of filling my 90 gallon. It is almost at the top, however I noticed a few floaters (dust/stuff) that I missed when cleaning it. I bout it new. Can I just use an hob filter for a while to get those out...or put some type of filter in the sump? I currently own a hob for a ten gallon I was using for my ten gallon fowlr. Also, when added salt the water got pretty cloudy and with bubbles on the window. To start I will be adding 15 pounds of live rock from my current ten gallon that been running since January,

Thanks all. Yes the rock that I have now has been in the tank with the 2 clowns since December/January. So when you all say cycle the tank..are you suggesting cycle the tank with what I have before adding additional fish? So I have a new reef ready 90 and a ten gallon tak with about 15 pounds of live roc in it with 2 clowns. I am currently running my rodi to fill up the tank. Once filled I will add salt and run water movers ( lol I can think of the right term).. and let the salt dissolve, My question is...then what....I want to be able to get my 2 clowns in that tank as soon as possible with the live rock. My sump is 30 gallons. I plan to use my ten gallon as a quarantine. Also..I plan to add more rock in the future...base rock or live rock (more expensive)...what kind of rock should I add if I am going to be adding rock periodically

How would you go about buying a used tank if the last used one you bought was a "lemon".....I read about buying used if the tank is full of water and running....being new to the forum...how would you approach buying a tank from a forum member....I know I am a newb..but thanks guys

Hello, I have a 90 gallon with a cracked glass behind the overflow that has a slow leak. Should I be taking this to the dumpster or could it serve a purpose for me or anyone else? Also, with a tank that size how do I get every drop of water out of it since my pump wont get the water out at the lowest levels?
