Howaboutme- TSM = RobRom Coral… recent buy out (same QT process). Dec 22/ Jan23 was the official transition. cpeguero- it takes a lot to admit mistakes per yourself; I appreciate that. To often people dwell on the negatives. If you don’t mind and I can understand if you want to pm so people don’t jump on your back but what was the issue? cdw79- I’ve heard that, communication can be difficult with Dr Reef but appreciate the fact that they seem healthy due to the appetites. The initial OP/platform never inquired about any other vendor outside of the two listed.

Xabo- saw the post prior to posting this one… do you have personal experience with either vendor or just pointing out a previous post? lowsingle- I’ll check that vendor also (reef pro store). Per Reefescape I was in the store last week. Heard a horror story by a customer but this is not forum to discuss the matter.

Just throwing out a question for discussion… fish can be difficult to find locally but online vendors seem to be the go to places. As we all know QT fish is key for success but in particular TSM and Dr Reef say they QT as well. Looking for peoples interactions, pro/con with these particular vendors. I leave it up to the group to discuss and inform.

Good Afternoon Wamas, I was wondering if anyone had a good recommendation for a complete in wall install. I put systems together throughout the years and now just looking to sit back and let someone else run with it. Open to companies however I will not inquire with Reefescape (no need for clarification). Thank you for the input.

Wish I could help but no luck; ended up going the route of the Red Sea Peninsula. The issue I ran into was having a company come on site to build the stand into the wall but no takers. Sorry I couldn’t be anymore help and good luck to you.

Asking around, the Red Sea S500 comes standard with chiller plumbing however I was wondering if anyone used the plumbing for the chiller and converted it to use an inline canister versus the chiller. If so what was your experience? Did it work? Otherwise switching a chiller for an inline canister setup.

Thats a real shame, the sexy shrimp have a rep to be a peaceful species of shrimp. In regards to your cleaner shrimp chasing the sexy into a hole it could be a variety of things, personality of the shrimp or the size of the tank you had them in. What tank size did you have the shrimp in?

If thats the case, harlequin shrimp, then I can't help you with that one

In my 300, I have three sexy shrimp, three cleaners and three fire shrimp. Never had an issue, perhaps due to the size of the tank but they all steer away from one another. The biggest problem you will have is finding them, my three sexy shrimp tend to hid (directly) in the anemone and elegance. I have numerous small brittle less than a dime size and again no issue. Hope that helps a little bit.

Newbie2014, be careful, one day your doing a 5 gallon water change and than a 30 gallon water change. The tanks only keep getting bigger.

Always interested to see the concept of others in the hobby, I agree that sometimes you shouldn't touch a tank if the parameters and corals are doing well but I guess I've been indoctrinated for the weekly water changes. Too bad it has to be costly with salt and such, I switch out 30-35 gallons a week on a 300gal

Does anyone think there's a benefit one way or the other? Weekly versus monthly. I always thought growth in corals was better with a weekly water change.

Epleeds- Religiously I do 10-12% weekly.

Couldn't find a forum based off of this topic so if someone knows where it is, please send it my way... Question, what's everyone's idea about water changes--- How often should you do one? Once a week, a month and so forth.... Just wondering, food for thought. Always read numerous ideas one way or the other. Personally, never had issues and prefer once a week for water changes.

What about the go pro camera? Any thoughts, if I need to go a little high in cost I wouldn't have an issue.
