  1. Thank you guys. I just started with corals and got nervous. It's much appreciated.
  2. I moved the green acan from the top to the bottom because of the appearance of receiving too much direct flow. I have a brown and Green. The tentacles of the green is always protruding. Is it normal. Thanks.
  3. Be aware that there is has been some construction taking place at Pratt street for several weeks. Very hectic.
  4. Tank is about a year and a half. I don't dose or feed thinking that weekly water change will do the job. This was the initial guidance I got when I started.
  5. I appreciate the information. Based on what I'm seeing it's not growing fast with the T5 I have with new bulbs so it might be worth changing. Lol
  6. I got a MP40 and got surprised with a 48-60" Orbit Marine LED for my 90g.
  7. I'm a newbie in the hobby running a 90g tank with live rocks, a yellow tang, 2 clowns, and a blenny. I also, have the following corals: Waving hand, zoanthid and mushroom. Im using a 48" T5 HO 10K and was just given for black Friday a 48-60" Orbit LED light. The question is whether it makes sense to switch lighting to have more coral option? Gracias.
  8. All, excellent suggestions. I will work on it this weekend while I'm home so I can catch potential disasters. My tank is in the family room with hardwood floor. LN
  9. The water level of my top-off is higher than the sump. I was told that it was a gravity issue, but had seen many pictures with a similar setup like mine that seemed to work. I'll see how I can change things around. By the way, I see that we have a New England fan in the forum. Must be happy with Seattle's blunder. Thank you all,
  10. Can anyone help me understand why I can't fill my tank with fresh water? I have to keep it to the level marked by the blue line. When ever I do, the water keeps running into the sump. I'm running the Hydor Smart Level Control ATO with the Kollercraft Aqua lifter pump. Should I run the water directly into the tank? Your help is appreciated.
  11. The same thing happened to me a few days ago. I got rid of my two maroon clowns and my coral is now flourishing. I was told that I was under feeding.
  12. Good recommendation because I never would have thought about the height of the fixture. I only have a few red mushroom corals. I'm only a rookie.
  13. Great advice. I'm using T5's that's around 3 years old and the bulbs never been changed. Thanks
  14. Hello everyone, I recently joined the forum and am new to the hobby. I am hoping someone can help me determine when it's the right time to change the lamps (tubes). Are there guidelines? I have been told that they last about a year and if you keep it longer, it can effect corals. Gracias.
  15. Welcome. I joined several days ago and have learned many things just by visiting the forums.
