Def be watching it..haven't noticed any asterina starfish in my tank but doesent mean there not there..

And it's purple in one spot where the original colony is as u can see in the picture..that bare spot use to be filled..anyone had this happen before

I currently have a biocube 29..love it no problems what so ever..done a few mods to it to make it better..have plenty of hard and soft corals in it..tank is thriving..I was wondering if there's any bigger tanks like the biocube..kinda don't wanna do a sump cus the tanks on the second floor and just incase I don't wanna flood..so anyone throw some info if like a tank just like a biocube but a little bigger...maybe 50 gallons at the most

Year ago I started out with 6 now I got more then id like..I'm able to get one here and there when they climb around or Ina shell I can pick up but 99% are throughout the main rocks..any traps I can make or is there something that eats them?id like to weed some out

Any way to breed them outside the tank and if so how easy or hard

Yea the refractor meter won't calibrate right..no matter what u use..I used my brothers and friends digital and that's how I fount out it was off and both tried and it wouldent calibrate so that's y I'm saying mine is 128 and really it's 125

Update from beginning post I did..nitrates was fine..my test kit was a year old and read high so I bought a new one and used my brothers and it was perfect.. Zero nitrates..my problem I noticed was two of my hard corals were dying and so was my anemone..turns out my refractor meter was messed up and wouldent cal right..my salinity was 1.021....slowly raised it up to 28-29 on my broken meter and next day anemone looked great..and so did the hard corals..what was left of them lol..so bad test kit and bad refractor meter was my problem all alone..learned a lesson that's the good thing

Looking for a good reliable New Refractometer..my old one won't work right..tried to calibrate it using solution and rodi water and it says it's fine but using my buddy's and brothers my salinity was reading low so I know something is wrong with mine..any suggestions on a brand most of y'all use

Yea I don't have the hqi version just the regular one....mounting a strip just won't look right..might just have to make my own from scratch

I have a biocube 29 with a kessil a150w..I'm looking for good blue moonlight to go with this..it's a open top tank so the led strips won't be a good idea..anyone out there got any ideas..

Well I had one for 2 months and he died and now this one is kinda showing the same symptoms kinda clueless on this..

Ok here's the deal I haven't checked my water parameters in months..never had to cus I've never noticed any problems..however now my small bta did well for about 2 weeks..now all the sudden he's under the rock and barley open..my condy anemone is doing great...so I tested for nitrates with my older api test witch is almost empty..and when I did they were sky high..so I have a newer api reef master kit witch has a nitrate kit with it and when I did they were barley readable..bright yellow unlike my older test witch was orange as H-E-double hockey sticks..I run media basket with the fixens..and a fuge also..nothin in my tank is doing bad besides the small bta..not understanding what the heck is going on..maybe the older test is bad not sure till I test it with my brothers kit..can't figure y it's being the way he is and wanna try to figure it out if not ima have to take it to my brothers tank so it doesent die.. Any ideas fellows

Update for hydroids..not sure if getting a scorer blenny helped but I don't see but a few hear and there since I purchased him over a month ago....In my opinion he helped my hydroid problem disappear fyi

Been a month or so since last time I checked my nitrates..reason so is my anemone isn't opened up like normal so I decided to check..nitrates were 40+ppm..I use a Intank media basket..pads up top..purigen and chemi pure elite..just replaced them 3 weeks ago....feed just one cube per day and sometimes I forget so sometimes they get it every other day.. Any ideas fellow reefers

Looking for a good cheap pump to mix salt in a bucket with about 5'lift to pump water back into tank..bought a 120gph but it don't have the power to lift it the hight any suggestions? Only mixing in a 5gallon bucket

Any idea how to catch these little guys..started out with a few and now 8 months later there getting outta hand somewhat and I wanna give some away but haven't figured a way to catch or trap em..I'm kinda maxed out on putting anything else in the tank to eat them.. Thoughts?
