  1. Woke up to all 10g of my top off water dumped in the sump of my Red Sea 250 Reefer , the ATO pump was still running dry when i came down.  Luckily only very little water was on the cabinet floor.  Its the Tunze 3152 ATO , anyone had this happened before ? Check the float switch and it was still moving freely, isnt it supposed to only run for 2 min max ???

  2. Here's hoping that you'll have this tank for another 47 years ...I see you enjoying your Sea Ray,  I just got a blue Sea Ray Amberjack 290 a couple months ago and loving it....whenever it's not getting worked on my the marine mechanic lol.

  3. I have the Red Sea 250 and with the noises all you have to do is take your time to tune it.  Slowly turning the round knob on the return plumbing to either direction until the noise is gone but do it slowly and very little turn each time.  You want the return water to go down the sump smoothly and not splashing or too strong.  When this is achieved, the Red Sea is very quiet.  Good luck !

  4. I go fishing quite often in the summer and my boat is docked at a marina near the Bay Bridge, MD.  I have a crab pot that submerged near the boat and I used to get a bunch of these blennies everytime I pulled the crab pot up   https://www.chesapeakebay.net/discover/field-guide/entry/blennies     Sometimes there's also pipefish    https://www.chesapeakebay.net/discover/field-guide/entry/pipefish    I used to take them home and put in my reef tank all the time but they dont survived very long ( I guessing because of the bay is brackish water and my reef tank is salt?  )

  5. Stick with zoas and ric and keep your life easy. It's a slippery slope. It takes more dedication, IMO, to start with something, and not make any changes along the way!

    Cheers!

Hahahaha ..practice what u preach brotherrrrrr ......

  6. Hope to see some pics soon !!!  Those little tanks are wayyyyy cooler than big tanks once everything is grown out and established.  I got my feet wet in reefing with a Fluval Spec V (5g)   I think you can still get dwarf seahorses at saltcritters.com.  Good luck... and lets see some pics soon.
