Moved the rocks forward a little bit and laid out the rocks more leveled to each other. Do you guys this is enough rock, or too much? I actually have another 46g I'm going to break down and move all the rocks here.

Okay, so there I was Sitting in front of my tank, watching it cycle. I was closely observing all the rocks until I spotted these two here. They have anemone like features. They have a sack that they go in and out of, they have a middle section for the mouth and bubbles surrounding the middle. Could it maybe be a little bta?

D'oh! I didn't even think about that, I don't have enough hand room to get behind all these rocks. Back to the drawing board I go…

Meanwhile, I'll just sit and enjoy my cold pop.

So here's my aquascape for my 125. What does everyone think? I can use a few pointers if anyone can shed a light on this topic. I'm looking to put a lot of sps and some softies here and there.

This is where" if you saw someone jump off a bridge…" comes into play. I was looking into a lot of people's sump design and a majority of then had their refugium in the middle. I really hope that this can still work.

That's the number one reason why I hate dealing with overseas. What did they send you? Does it cost more?

Well, I Added some salt. Leak stop. More bubbles formed. How about that! Thanks everyone for the help. Newb mistake here

Here's a a lot of the leak when the bubbles get to the neck. There's water just pouring out on the sides.

I just finished my sump and I wanted to test out my new skimmer. When water gets to the top, it starts to leak from the neck. The o-ring keeps rolling when I set the collection cup in. I figure the cup is catching a lot of friction from the o-ring every time I set it in. Thinking of trying to lubricate the o ring but not sure which product to use. What silicon lube is aquarium safe? Is there anything that will work just as good. (Vaseline maybe?)

Has anyone experienced using clams as a filtration? I just built my sump and haven't decided what should go in my refugium. Wanted to get some clams from the food market and put a few in the refugium. Or if anyone has any suggestions on what else I should put in my refugium, that would be great!

I cut a glass and wedged it to the filter sock and thought it was a good idea. Didn't even think about it clogging. My next idea is to silicon a sheet of glass below so the sock can hang inside the tank rather than on top.

Update Decided to go with a refugium in the middle

Took everyone's advice. Up the flow, and tone down the lights. I can already see that stuff peeling off the rocks! Thanks everybody!

Here's the sump without baffles. My plan is pretty. Basic. Drain/skimmer/return 2 baffles between the drain and skimmer. Over and under. 3 baffles to the return pumps. Over, under, over. What do you guys think?

How high should my water level be? I have an avast cs1 skimmer. From the glass I have now, looks like I can only have 10" height sections.

The glass I took apart was from a 10g tank, it's 1/4 glass. Thought i could save money that way instead of getting it from a glass shop. They charge about $10 a cut for 1/4 glass. The second picture is hard to see but it's slightly slanted to fit in the sump.

The only thing that's left for my 125 build is the sump. After that, it's ready to be filled, and cycled. Getting really anxious now. All I need is maybe 5 sheets for baffles. I'd like to maybe salvage what I can from this 10g I bought and try and mod it to fit. How hard is it to cut like maybe half an inch off?

I usually run my lights at 50/50 mid day and 10/20 by night. I've been running 20% blue since last night. Should I leave it at that or give the tank total darkness for a few days?

Lowes and Home Depot only sell 1/8 glass. Anything thicker I'd have to go to a local glass shop. 1/4 glass is what's recommended by everyone to use for a sump. But I may be wrong on what they sell, I last checked 2 weeks ago
