  1. Better pic of the hermit that came with the rocks. Some equipment shots.
  2. Always wanted one but never went through with it until yesterday. Innovative Marine Nuvo mini 38. It is one of the all in one designs, very well constructed from what I can see thus far. Got the Innovative Marine 92 watt tablet light as part of a package deal they were running. Very bright, still seeing spots from when I turned it on to test the first time. 40lbs of aragonite sand and about 18lbs of Fiji live rock. Instant Ocean salt. Got it all set up in one location then decided to move it and ended up rearranging the entire living room. Got it filled up the second time and let it stay there. Empty with moon lights, tablet has day, moon and sunrise/set lighting options. Empty with day lights on. Hard to capture how bright this is with a cell phone. Was too lazy to break out the DSLR. New location with salt, sand and LR in it before it clears up. This morning after it had cleared. Only inhabitant is a hermit crab that hitched a ride on one of the rocks, hopefully the little guy will make it.
  3. Flow? Heat? O2 of some sort? Been considering this all since this silly storm (that probably won't amount to anything) is being hyped to death around here. Without a generator I figure a battery powered air pump would be a good idea, and I suppose if worse comes to worse I could always gently heat a rock or even some salt water on the gas stove to help keep the heat up. Bad idea?
  4. I thought about cutting it off of him and letting it grow back, but I decided to just let him run around until he decides to move on to another shell, then I'll affix the xenia somewhere.
  5. Can anyone id the Purpleish zoa/poly with squiggly 'hair'. It is in this video at 5:40-5:45
  6. Can someone tell me where I could get some of these.
  7. Good to hear that we have several members in this area.
  8. Couple more pics. This guy was actually a hitchhiker on my LR. Blended in too we'll to be seen. Early FTS. Rocks are more stable than they look but I have putty on the way to make it more stable. Pretty close to what it is now.
  9. I figure that is the case for most in this area. We don't have much selection.
  10. Thanks, believe it or not those are cell phone shots.
  11. If I had a 426 HEMI, that would mean that I could afford a much larger tank. Alas, I do not so I am starting with my 38. I need to get some updated shots of the tank, but here are some recent additions.
  12. Just got started in the hobby a little while ago and have thus far done most of my reading on Reef Central. Just found WAMAS and wanted to join and find out the goings on in this area. I am in Arnold, MD just outside of Annapolis and my LFS is House of Tropicals in Glen Burnie. I have an IM Nuvo Mini 38 that is currently stocked with a CUC, (snails, hermits and a pincushion urchin) some coral (frogspawn, hammer, and GSP) and a couple of Zoas. Only fish is a 6 line wrasse.
