Hi Eric,
In May, I was around .22 PO4 and 25 NO3. I added a Tunze MAR 3151 algae reactor and got PO4 around .18 and did nothing for Nitrate.
Added NoPox in early June, dosing 5/ml day on a set timer and my #s today are .08 PO4 amd between 5-12(NYOS Test Kit) on Nitrate. So, by the #s, it is working. My corals do not look so hot right now. I lost quite a bit of SPS, including the Jolt I got from you. I am not sure if the #s came down too quickly or not because in Mid-May I decided to deep clean my sand bed for the first time since I started this new tank 16 months ago. That probably caused alot of my STN issues.
So, just like most things here, go slow. I am dosing 1/2 of what RedSea recommends. Also, monitor the color/health of your corals while your #s are declining.

If you use it or have used it please tell me how you liked it. Do's and dont's. Any advice.
I need to get my nitrates down.
Yes I change a ton of water, I've used monster sulphur reactors which helped alot but has a serious side effect so I ditched those after using them for years. Yes I have a very heavy bio load.
So I'm thinking to give this a shot

I'm with you on that. I usually wipe the store out when I go for lrs food
Right on thanks when I move out that way maybe we could figure out a schedule to cut trips out for picking up supplies

There isn't any at all unfortunately. I've lived in Winchester most of my life. I have to go out of town for food etc.
Theres a good store for other pets but not saltwater

Melafix or bayer that's all I use for every type of coral

This was a problem on the first couple run of lights. It was remedied on the newest releases.
Ecotech will send you a new faceplate with directions how to install it from what I've read

Is the event horizon mainly orange? Solid orange mille are hard to find, though ones with green are sometimes just as cool and easier to get. The event horizon looks bright in the pics! I had a nice orange mille in my last tank. Didn’t sell too many frags but would love to get a piece back if someone has it.
It's like a dark pink into an orange with different color tips. It's way different then most you see today.

I dont have a pic but I went with 4 xr30 blues running at 90% over a 72x36 tank. Ab plus schedule. They are plenty bright and not to blue imo

I know theres probably plenty of people in the wamas community with the trident. I would like to hear some feedback on it. Good or bad. What you have learned along the way etc. I have one coming so trying to get ahead of the game, kinda.
I tried the alkatronic and well, that just didnt work out. Hopefully this works out better for me.

Not much ip this way at all. Berkley springs is not that far from winchester and theres nothing to speak of around here. I have to go to the city just to get fish food.

Where have you had good luck getting pods from, especially for mandarin gobies. Just to replenish the tank
-
Unless moneys no object. Then radions it is

My last tank was all t247 ocean revives. That's my vote.
-
They dont touch anything in my tank. Just slowly picked at my zoas
-
I have a goldflake, emperor, regal, and queen in main display with a ton of torch, hammer, frogspawn. Sps, gorgonian, Duncan's,. Zoas are slowly disappearing lol
I have a juvenile blueface in training in my 100 gallon frag tank full of sps zoas and lps. Key word in training so he's my last angel that will go in the display.

Most of this par is definitely from the t-5's. The led pucks are relatively small and my par measurements were a decent distance away from the centerline of the fixture which is where the LEDs are
-
Well it might explain why most new introductions take excessively long to acclimate
-
Just a discussion. We measured my par last night. I'm getting around 500 on the sandbed. 600 to 700 halfway up. And 800 at the top and this is with 2 bulbs out since I have a ballast out. I have a 8x80 ati led powermodule. We tested in numerous locations throughout the tank. There are also two 60 inch blue xho reefbrites on the fixture.

This is what makes me nervous
It's like some people have great success with zero issues then others it's a horror story. I just dont know what to do. Far to much money in sps to lose it all
