Thanks for all the info. I also had someone suggest the AI Sol for LED lighting. I guess I'll go to a few stores and see what looks good. I probable won't go too crazy on SPS's and I think staying at 4 feet so as not to have to go that much more expensive on the lighting may be a good idea. I still have to pay for sand and rock to fill it. I definitely want to avoid a chiller if at all possible.

My 30g reef sprung a leak. I've got it slowed down, but will probably take this opportunity to go up to a 90g or 125g reef. Right now I am running all LED's and everything is growing. What are peoples experiences out there on bigger tanks and LED's. Also don't have any experience with T5's. Which is better/more cost effective. Don't have a ton of time, so opinions PLEASE.

The skimmer has been up and running for a while now but it is extremely sensitive to water level change.

That may be my next purchase. I never really had much problem with water level on the Sapphire. I generally always kept it high, but when I would turn it on the first time after a water change or a feeding it would just go crazy for a few hours and just overflow back into the sump until it settled down. I should receive my new Reef Dynamics any day. I will post results as soon as I get it going.

I understand completely. He was about half that size when I put him in. I knew that, but I got some caulerpa by accident from a piece of coral at Roozens and that stuff really started to take over everything. I needed him to help keep it clean. He has since done his job and I have already found a willing home for him in a 200. I just have to catch the little bugger.

I'm having the same problem. I tried the link to Flickr and keep getting an error message saying "You can't use that type of file extension on this board" and when I try to add pictures from my gallery they are very small.

I am trying to paste a link from Flickr but I am getting an error message that reads "You are not allowed to use that image extension on this board." It is just a jpg. Anyone have any thoughts?

I actually think the impeller was the problem. It got very loud and no longer injected enough air to skim. I may be inerested in an impeller. What do you want for it?

And even if you cut most of it out, if a little piece falls in a crack or hole, it will grow there and spread.

I manually add water so it may be an issue. So, I ordered the Reef Dynamics skimmer today. I'm excited to get it going.

I'm running a 29Biocube all LED system from NanoTuners. Have an "In-Tank" brand filter rack for my Carbon and filter floss, Oceanic UV, Sapphire skimmer (just died on me) and an MP10 on wave crest mode. Livestock consistsof about 2" sandbed, 35lbs. liverock, 7 fish, Maxima, ball sponge, zoos, palys, shrooms, trumpet, frogspawn, Orange plate (Fungia), cabbage, waving hand anthelios, moon, duncans, Acans, montipora and one acro. Lest we forget the pile of xenia!

What in the world are Zeovit stones?

I need a little help. Does anyone know how to get xenia out of a tank for good? I bought a frag of Fiji Pom Pom xenia and it won't stop growing, EVERYWHERE! The stuff is overtaking the tank. The only good thing is I have been getting credit when I bring it in to my LFS, but I am only running a 29BC and I would rather have the room right now. I have cut it down as far as I could and it still comes back. It's indestructible! Does anything eat it?

That looks good, but wow they are pricey.
