Incredible Corals

I have a fish trap you can borrow but it still takes a lot of patience.

Removing just one fish is pointless. Once you treat the one fish and put it back in, it will pick the ich up again. The other fish probably have it but they are able to keep it suppressed (in the gills).

Yes. The only 100% way to beat the ich is to remove all the fish and keep our DT fishless for 8-10 weeks. While your fish are in the QT I would treat with copper for 4-5 weeks and then 4-5 weeks with no meds. Any new fish should go into your QT for 4 weeks with copper. Also, anything "wet" needs to be in a QT before entering your DT, including; corals, inverts, rocks, etc. If you don't want to do the above then you can just keep feeding the fish well and hope it builds an immunity to the ich. Any new fish you add to your tank has a good chance of picking up the ich because the stress of the new environment. Ich is a huge pain but there are sure ways of killing the ich and keeping it out of your tank and that is by not allowing it to be introduced into your DT when removed. I also feel your pain. I'm on week 3 :(

I google imaged those name and it does look like "fauchea laciniata". This is the image from google that look similar So is this stuff okay to leave on the rock and let it do it's thing?

I bought a colony of yellow polyps from blue zoo. About a month later I noticed flat, reddish, petals growing around the polyps and all over the rock. I tried to take a pic but in the picture you can't make it out because it's in the back of the tank. Any ideas?

I was actually counting on that. I don't mind fraging/pruning. The pulsing xenia is very easy to remove off the rocks and glass. I also love the way the kenya tree literally frags itself.

I have a dreams about coral, my tank, fish, etc almost every night. I'm always thinking about what I want to get next.

It's been running since 08/2009. It's a standard 4' 55 gal with 4x65 watt Current USA PC lighting and HOB CPR refugium & skimmer.

I have had one for 4-5 months (one of my first inverts). I have never target fed it anything and it seems happy.

I wanted to know if any of our sponsors or LFS have fish for sale that have already been quarantined. I don't want to run my own QT and would like to drip acclimate and then put the fish in my tank without worrying about ich or other parasites. I was going to purchase my fish from the liveaquaria "divers den" but would like to support our LFS if possible.

I was thinking about fraging and trading/selling but wasn't sure what kind they are (top ones). The colony has easily doubled in a month and thought I would take advantage. The only thing close I can find on the net is "fire&ice". Wasn't sure if that's correct though. I need an expert!

Well it's the standard 4' 55 gal. 4x65 watt PC lightning w/ moons, CPR Large HOB refugium w/ skimmer, 1400 gph flow with two PH, mixed corals, 50-75lbs live rock, Aqua Controller Jr w/ DC8. My plan is to have a softies/LPS tank.
