Those are both good points to know, keeps the options open.

Cute, thanks for sharing.

Okay, that sucker gets to 10" !! Guess I could get a baby or something? Cardinals got chased by my tang and anthias, they did nothing but hide behind the rock work. The others, lets just say it was time to change eras, lol. They were not really working for me aesthetically anyhow. I was watching them on Youtube and think i ran into a problem with them. They seem to like to sleep in the sand. That may be a big no no for my undisturbed (after the first 1/4", so far) DSB in the DT.

Well, if there is an easy way to keep the dendro, that would be good. Hopefully its not too much more to it than feeding my sun polyps, per say. [quote name=Jan' date='21 April 2010 - 12:07 PM' timestamp='1271866046' post='316272] I want no part of them is my view on all of it . I like being a girl . Ooooh, you meen the "other" thems!? I get it now.

That would be appreciated. I think anemone0524 might be interested in something also. If anemone0524 is home that day, I guess I would not mind dropping them off at his house too since it would be on the way back to my place. I sent anemone0524 a PM. Will have to wait and see if anemone0524 pops up and is interested. Yea, as soon as I get a little time, might stop by one or two and talk to them.

I am not a starfish-ologist, but, with a fish that size, if he did get his guts around it, might not see any bones for a few days. Thats a pretty big meal to digest.

If the tank being uncovered is all your worried about, I would cover up asap. There is a thread around here somewhere I believe that shows how to do it with a window screen kit. I applaud you on the tang thing. Its hard not to get one. I got my powder blue small, knowing I will only had/have a little time with him. He lumbers around the tank so slow tho, I think he may be fine for a little longer than I expected. He NEVER races or even uses half the tank for a speed burst, so far. Nice fish, odd I do not see those more in tanks!? Thanks but was kind of looking for something in the 2"-4" range. Looks like wrasses are the only things that move around. Kind of afraid to get a bully though by getting one of the smaller ones, like a 6-line or something..

Up to 7"? If I buy one and chop him in half, anyone interested in the second half? Okay, i think my starry blenny would go absolutely ape if he saw that in the tank, lol. So, a wrasse of some sort? Hmmm.......

Thanks, but, the only problem I have with them is that I do not know if they will space the bulb correctly in my icecap reflectors, as opposed to the clips they included?

I am trying to find the simple slip on units. They have them in the older catalina lights but I can not find them anywhere else. I did find these, as these ViaAqua's here http://www.dtpetsupplies.com/catalog/Lighting/T5-Lighting-Equipment/T5-End-Caps-Sockets/ are the closest thing, but not what I am after. I would use them anyways seeing I can not find what i am looking for, but, they are sold out. Anyone know where to get some basic slip on T-5HO connectors?

Of all the fish in my tank, seems the tang is the only one that uses the whole tank. I think they are all sucking down Valiums or something. Everyone basically sits in one spot. Even the tang barley lumbers along like he hit his head on something and is dazed, lol, happy, but dazed. Trying to find a good, on the smaller side, size fish that moves around out in the open, maybe darting in a cave or crevice here and there, always on the go.

Next week, maybe two at most.

I lost a green banded goby, think I need another and maybe another fish too. Nobody likes my methodology of doing GB so I am gonna let someone else do it. Only thing I ask is that I am looking for someone thats gonna do a hub pickup. Then I can meet you as you get the package at fedex or at home. I want to get a mandarin also and seeing as how they do not have an arrive alive guarantee, I want to get mine ASAP and go. You can even keep my 10% for the effort, it would be worth it.

Sweeeeeeet!!

Looks like your star is getting a little stingy. Not sharing = not cool!

Hey, there's roco, whats up? Yea, I was impressed with his black pump in the right of his sump area (whichever that one was, lol). It was a monster compared to my mag 7 and even so, still sooooo much quieter, and external at that!?!?!? I was like, what in the heck????????
-
Hmm, oh well. Looks like it is back to the creek, beating cloths on the rocks for you then, however, when I am doing my load of laundry tonight in my man made washing machine, I will send a thought out to you and toast your independence with a clean glass out of the man made dishwasher. I do need to find time to come check out the fish in my man made car, or, if your in the area with the donkey and cart, you could bring it by on that. And girls are......."okay" . j/k

That sucks! Well, guess thats nature at its finest and least you didnt have to get your hands wet.
-
Oh, point was, they were all on sponges, mouse pads and what not, tried everything. They just vibrate so bad it sends it up the pipes.
-
If he has a mag 24, i could not imagine. I had a mag 12 and that was out the door after a month. I have a mag 7 now and that is fairly quiet, but, since my tank is a dead silent drain, at night the hum starts to get real loud. I am gonna go with a 1262 here shortly as soon as i find a very very quiet pump for my skimmer.

well, if ctenophore is correct, then that may be his only option!? What do you meen you dont think so? Thats what you women fought for for so long, every man woman an child for themselves. Okay okay, I will stand in line.

Might even try to stop all the flow and with a dropper, rain some phyto down on it. Saw your pics. I think you should let me have dibs on that lonely piece on the top, it really looks out of place.

I could not read the chart Ehiem had. I do not know how to convert Liters to Gallons so I was not about to say how much a 5' height would reduce flow. You might want to rethink that 1.5" pipe theory. If a snail decides to go on an adventure, that 1.5" may save you (with the ehiem), unless you have an extra drain for redundancy, aka emergency backup.

True, but probably not at a 5' height.
