  5. i moved the sps =) i cant put any barrier becuause the two was pretty close to eachtoerh <4in, and it'll make the aquascape uglier, all good now =) thanks everyone for input. ohh, how about two different kind of favia next to eachothers? would one kill the other?
  6. dang it, i dont want to move the sps, it's been there for a while and is doing well, and just starting to color up too >( but i guess you got to do what you got to do.
  7. couple months ago, i bought favia, which was then about 1-2in, i placed it about 4 inches from an SPS colony. all good, but now, 3 months later, the favia has double in size, and at night the tentacle is getting long and longer, i've been checking almost everynight. so now, the favia's tentacle is only about 1 inch from the SPS colony... should i be concern? cant really move the favia cause it has grown to encrush the rock it's on. should i move the SPS colony?

I usually acclimate either way, depending on the SG that the fish came in. my SG is around 1.025, i drip if the fish comes in at <1.020. but in order not void their guarantee, i have to do it their way.

very low light, no other fish. they were the only two in the QT. but this isnt really about acclimation or QT or stuff like that. this is about the vendor.....

per the instruction that came with the package. float for 15 minutes, put a shot tank water in every 5 min, repeat 4-5 times.
  14. Have never ordered online before, was skeptical about ordering, but I read only good reviews about Reeftopia, they had a piece of zoos that I really wanted for a while, so I went ahead and order it with some snails, shrimps, and 2 fish. came to 128.50, with free shipping. pretty good deal actually. 2 zoos (5-7 polyps each), 50 nass vibex, 5 pepp shrimps, blackcap basset, blenny, and free 3 pepp shrimps for order over $120. Placed order last Thursday night, Dec 10. didnt pay for Sat. delivery, I was fine it coming this week. Got an email from them saying they got the order in Friday night, saying that they will ship it out Monday night for Tuesday morning delivery. Monday night came, got another email stating that order was shipped with FedEx tracking. Tuesday Morning, 9am, knock on door, FedEx guy drop it off. took it inside. checked all orders, and everything was there. everything is alive. Packaging is very good. Styrofoam box, every packed neatly, double bagged, heat pack taped on the top, every thing was nice and warm. place the bags in my QT for 15 minutes, following their recommended acclimation info, after 5 minutes, put a shot tank water in, repeat 4-5 times. Dump all inverts in tank, everything moving just fine, fish just hiding in corner. shrimp actually moving around looking for food, dropped some pellets in, the shrimp headed right towards it, fish took no interest. all snails disappeared in the sand (snails went into different tank), zoos opened up in an hour or so. today, woke up, fish were dead =( no idea why. shrimp still good. zoos opening normally. emailed them this morning, around 10am, telling them that the fish didnt make it. They have a 5 day after arrival guarantee. got an email back from them about 1 hours later. Here is their actual email reply. "We
  15. no dips... i dont think there is any disease, they are definitely fatter than when i first got it. so...
  16. Tank conditions are fine, 0 for everything, some nitrate ~10. I do feed about 1once a week, pellets, one of those formula 1/2. i had 4 T5, just upgraded to 8 last week. I have like 5-6 other different palys, which i see plenty of little polyps growing. But this one, it's just getting fatter, no new polyps.... all the palys are on the same dept/height in the tank. maybe it's just a very slow grower.
  17. oh, i have other palys too, which i definitely see growth, size and polyps, but this particular in question here, is not growing any new polyps =(
  18. I got one of this, not sure if it's this exactly or not, but very similar. It's been growing pretty well, almost double in size now, but still a single polyps. How long does it usually take get a second, third, etc???? http://www.vividaquariums.com/10Expand.asp...mp;SortBy=Price
  19. really? lol, i thought the safe corals are the one that are already growing from someone's tank... but all the corals i have bought from members or LFS are doing fine, no bugs or anything. maybe i'm just lucky
  20. Revive, Lugol's solution or any other. Any recommendation? I've always bought corals locally or from other members, so i never dip them. I'm thinking of ordering some online for the more "rare" stuff, and probably need to dip to be safe... so where can i get the dips? any of our LFS carry them? thanks Ha
