ooops... i have been watering my mothers garden with waste water-- i figured 1) the roots would kinda filter out the salt- and there has been so much rain its not that much compared to the amount of fw 2) the old water has nitrates and trites in it that plants need to grow- after the nitrifying bacteriea in the plant nodes/nodules w/e they are called changes the nitrogen compound into a useable form.. nitrate right? so wouldnt it actually be helpful- besides the salt i guess it would be supplementing your soil with nitrates that have been other wise depleted by the plant growth- we have TONS of plants in our yard- idk about grass for this situation but regular flowers etc instead of planting legumes for a year to make the soil rich we are directly adding the compound to the soild- there for making the soil more nutritious and beneficial for the plants NITROGEN CYCLE PPL WE SHOULD KNOW THIS STUFF!!! He'll (without the ') i could be completely wrong... - sara EDIT: so i read the wiki article-- which doesnt sound too promising- i guess salt just has bad effects- but my other reasoning for the nitrogen was good-- huh? right? *nudge nudge*

Haha- yea thats me.. yea.. hmm im just a little worried cuz those are both the most expensive fish on the list!! HAHA other wise im gonna get just the regular old CB clowns (i had some issues with WC so i know everything i get will not be CB but i will QT them and etc) and the lemon peel- yup im getting a neon cleaner gobie and 2 firefish and a perly jawfish- maybe i should get purple fire fish to balance out the warm and cool factors in my tank- . i wish i could have those aquariums that are like HUGE and i mean like takes up en entire room top to bottom lef to right and have like tons of fish nice! and i did some reading and the concensous (spelling is awful) was that BTAs can be under and are good under HOT-5 my plan exactly!!! no i got my tank this morning- i love it- the guy came and delivered it to me with bunches of bonus parts- and my mom doesnt fully understand ALL the components of a tank- so i was having a hard time thinking of ways to tell her that i would need ANOTHER 10gltank as a sump for this one- and the guy who sold it to me BROUGHT me an old 10gl to go with!! my room being clean was also just showing my mom i deserve something- now i have to get As in summer school for the 1st semester before i can do anything with it- so thats 12 more days! And my dad does not want the tank in my room! hes so angry now that my seahorses are in my room (which you before tonight could not walk into) and no o ne could see them and he wanted to show them off- so i have a feeling hes going to like this tank (hes a secret fish lover) THANK YOU! yes they do!!! tammie has worked there FOREVER- i have known her since i wwas like old enough to go to the zoo with my dad- and the invert exibit was the first place on my must go to list so it came with the stand tank- a mini canopy type thing (adorable), glass top, pcv (right?) pumbing parts that he showed my how to set up and work AND he gave me an old ten gl my beautiful is sitting in the garage right now.. MY DOG IS VICIOUS NOBODY TAKE IT!!!!!-- ok seriously my dog is a sweet heart but - if there are any tank nappers out there leave mine alone!! <3 and thats my seahorse giving birth- its a still from amazing video i cant seem to be able to post it

well idk about corals- but i believe some ppl use those ski heating things that last 8hrs or something- idk though but for ice they use the plastic ice gel or frozen water bottles

thanks!!! im soo excited for getting my tank!! i will figure the supplementing out and get the appropriate test kits for what i supplement with- i have to keep telling myself that i can buy a 5$ frag from someone here than the 24$ candy cane coral frag (3" i think) at Congressional- sometime this weekend maybe im making some new fish store trips- two main ones Scales and Aquarium one - (whats the adress to A1) i would love to go to BRK one day it looks beautiful from the website- haha but thats not untill i can drive there myself- OMG Driving will be amazing- i dont have to bug my dad to take me to the "aquarium store" anymore!!!! wow im rambling now- im trying to stay awake so i can clean my room- i have been organizng my seahorse area- oh btw i have GREAT footage of my seahorse giving birth - its incredible- but i dont know how to load it as a video- only as stills which is still cool- just not as cool like where do i load it too? youtube doesnt work... neither does photobucket

well i saw this tank at the aquarium- sure it was a lot bigget thank 7gl- but it was COVERED in an anenome with a couple clownfish in it- it was beautiful- would an anemone start to die is not given ample( is that the right word) room?

hey thanks for the information i will go read up right now And BTW! i am taking chemistry right now- like my first day was yesterday (summer school) SO! (and im getting 100% and and and we have a unit test on monday AND i really like chemistry - science is something that i absorb ) SO THAT BEING SAID! this is pretty cool! that chemistry and biology are so closely related as i demonstrated to my friend who said she hates biology and rather know why an apple falls from a tree- which i said- and apple falls from the tree because when the appl is too ripe the plant will start to produce ethylene? i think? gas which is a hormone that makes the apple separate- sorry that was really really really unnecessary- but i LOVE LOVE LOVE science again thank you for the information

thank you for the response and where do i find this stuff--- the supplement- unless its the whole reactor thing because i know where to find that at the zoo we have like 6 2 or 3gl deer park water jugs with a spout for kalk that we just pour in the coral tanks- but there is prolly some nice high end equiptment there i have personal issues with walmart haha i have actually never been inside one but i might have to or look around some more- haha

are kalk reactors or kalk w/e necesary for keeping corals?

i dont really know where tha is in comparison to santa monica but GO TO A BEACH! any where near santa monica go to venice beach- (DONT LEAVE YOUR THINGS ANYWHERE they might be stolen... haha long story) go look in some tide pools at any beach with a jeti- it is one of the most amazing things you will ever see.... unless you go scuba diving in coral reefs its not as beautiful its just really awsome. there are HUNDREDS of anenomes- and just really neat sorry just had to share i got back from california on saturday hah HAVE FUN

so this is the equiptment im looking at im gonna have a 10gl sump- im getting all the plumbing for it with the tank-- if someone could help me set it up haha and put a mini G-series ASM skimmer in there- are those good ? i have had some recomendations for them NOVA HOT-5 with Lunar lights ( i think the system includes bulbs) does that come with the bulbs it was hard to tell 150wtt visitherm heater- i personally like them whattypes of fans should i get? for this and for my seahorse tank because my seahorse tank w/ lights on is running almost 80 degrees and its suppsed to be 72/74 50lbs of sand 20 of live sand (the agra-live pink sand) 30 of normal agronite sand - im still getting my supply list together i think- anything else i need? do i need a wave makeer type thing

oh no i do!! i do have dwarves in a 10 gl not full grown seahorses big seahorses the reason why i said it might not be safe is because dwarves are quite small and should not be housed in a reef like setting because some creatures that are not harmful in a reef can hunt and kill dwarves or dwarf fry- but go register over there if you are still interested my thred in the dwarf forum is i think 37pgs long and its called "My Dwarf Checklist" i have pictures they are just really bad.. and i have some video footage that i want to make stills of that i will post when ready swollen from the sun burn hahaha - i dont nknow why my mommy said i got sun poisoning :( HAHAHAHA but as sooon as my foot is better and i clean up my room which i hope its as soon as possible i will be getting my 40 gl hex tank! whoo hoo!

hahaha the tank is what gets me- she offers money shopping etc but when she said tank i was willing to fight my sunburned legs to do it.... which i ended up not doing because my right foot is so swollen i can hardly walk on it so i got a couple extra days

i dont have the tank yet... but im getting it shortly.. hopefully 5 DWARF seahorses they are about an inch long really cute one is a babie dont worry im not crampy foot long horses in a 10gl i know better than that- 4 6in horses should fit in a 40gl according to my seahorse experts but i think im going with the reef anyways because something new and be very pretty is this a ten gl your talking about.. if so i dont think that would be safe for dwarves- but if its something larger itd be i think safe for erectus seahorses seahorse.org is a great place if you are ever interested in seahorses
