    Hi Anthony,

    PM me with your information:

    Full name

    address

    wamas screen name

    phone number

    email address

Also mention that you paid at the summer frag fest.

I will make sure to have your information updated if it hasn't already and get your membership card out. If I hear back from you today, I can get your membership card out to you tomorrow. Thanks.

  2. I've done this a couple of times. Not sure what is happening.

The last times were once in August 29 and August 30 to davelin315 and jnguyen40007 respectively.

I be on the look out.

What happen was that I sent a reply back to you at the end of Aug asking for a confirmation of your address and for you to let me know if you would be at the meeting or not so that I could either give it to you personally or mail it to you. I did not hear a reply back from you until now. Now that I got your PM confirmation, I can update your information, your membership card will go in the mail tomorrow.

  3. I could change the title, but you may want to start a new thread under propagation and breeding.

trade you baby horses for baby clowns.

    Doug,

Another option is change the title and delete any part of the thread that does not fall under propagation and breeding.

  4. I have used IO for ten years with no problems, before that it was Coralife, again never any issues. I just recently switched to Crystal Sea Bioassay. I have had a few things RTN/STN in my display and frag tank since switching. Normally within days of a water change.

    What's RTN/STN?

  5. Salt is one of those things I think everyone has an opinion on.

I gave up caring, and use IO since it is available everywhere, is decently priced, and I will have to dose regardless of what salt I use.

    +1 on Instant Ocean salt.

  6. It also looks like you have a regular HOB filter. That filter is fine for fresh water, but I don't think it does anything for a reef tank. It's fine if you're doing fish only, but you really should consider a skimmer if you want to keep any kind of corals.

  7. Chris,

A sump does not have to be fancy or expensive. A lot of ppl buy a used fish tank and convert it to a dedicated sump. Look around on WAMAS and craigslist for a used tank that fits your space and budget and go from there.

  8. Guys,

check this site out. They sell DIY sets which require minimal work (no resistors) since they are paired in perfect numbers to existing power supplies (12 per). They include focusing lenses with your choice of 40, 60, or 80 degree spread output. These are 3 watt Cree X-Lamps.

I wanted to purchase the 24 DIY kit except with all blues (prefect blue wavelength 450-460), but I'm still looking for a suitable heatsink or related mounting material. The latest quote I got for some heatsinks for this application was quite expensive. $115 for some custom cut 49" x 1" strips. If anyone is interested and wants to share the cost of the heatsinks with me, or if you know of a cheaper place for heatsinks or similar let me know!

    What's the site?

  9. My program was fine. The display would show that it was off but the relay never opened.

I called Neptune and outlets #4 and #8 are different then the others. Those two are prone to the contacts welding together with high inrush current devices such as large pumps and ballasts. Any loads like that should be plugged into #'s 1-3 and 5-7. I gave the DC8 two hard hits and the relay opened back up.

    That is good to know.
