My 36" long tank have a divider sitting in the middle on top of the tank. I think it will block my light that go into the tank. my question is can i remove it and the tank wont fall apart?

I did some research on cycling the tank and came across this Right Now Bacteria http://memory-doctor.com/Aqua/rightnowfw.html It stated that it will cycle the tank in 24hrs. Does this work? Am I misunderstanding something? anyone have experience using this product before?

I am looking to buy cheap LR, LS and Salt such as Instant Ocean for my new tank (40gal). Will come pick up but prefer places within 30 mins from DC area. I have a 40gal 36L x 12W x 22H. I live in NW DC. I already have containers for 40gal of water. I would like to know where to buy cheap 40gal of Ro/DI water. Which store? How much each gal? I know that I should get a filter but maybe in the near future for now im a bit tight budget. Thanx.
