This in turn enables the controller to be positioned anywhere you so choose, not restricting it to tank side operation only. Due to the modular buildup, the number of sockets, sensor inputs, 1-10V-interfaces and communication interfaces is nearly unlimited. Functions &features (dependent on the available hardware) • Measurement & control of pH-value, temperature, Redox, conductivity (salt or fresh water), oxygen, humidity, air temperature, all sensors are galvanically isolated. • Seasonal temperature courses. • Automatic calibration of all sensors. • Auto top off, automatic water change, leakage detection. • Illumination control for dimmable (1-10V-interfaces or DALI) and non-dimmable lamps, calendar-based moon phases, storms, also seasonally variable illumination possible including thunderstorm simulations using the GHL LED sticks and spots. • AC dimmable ballast controllable eg Phillips advanced mark 10. • Aqua Illumination compatible unlocking the true capabilities of the aqua illumination system. • TMC Aqua Ray controllable. • 8 x Tunze stream controllable with the addition of a single cable, no Tunze controller required. Tunze wave box controllable. • Hydor Koralia 12v controllable using pump control-1 expansion box. • Pump control for controllable and non-controllable pumps (see above), different pump groups with different settings, waves, ebb-flow, surge, random, sequences, shortest wave duration 0,4 s, therefore also suited for wave boxes . • Dosing pump control, GHL dosing pump systems. • Universal timers, shortest switching time 1s. • Integrated web-server (display of values and configuration, remote programming), own website can be loaded, compatible with all current browsers. • Integrated e-mail-client (sending of e-mails in case of an alarm). • PIN-protection. • Reminder functions. • Optical and acoustic alarm. • Feeding pause and maintenance function. • Safety functions, e.g. redundant sensors, monitoring of the sensor function, value check. • Due to simple software updates (device doesn’t need to be opened for this), always the newest functions are available. • Large internal storage for measured values for all sensors, according to the setting, you can store measured values up to several years. • Switch-on delay of sockets after blackout. • Programmable logic. • PC-software available for FREE. • 100%-downwardly compatible: hardware of ProfiLux Plus II can be used further on (e.g. expansion cards, powerbars, ProfiLux View II). • ProfiLux Plus II can be upgraded to ProfiLux 3, ProfiLux Plus II (eX) can be upgraded to ProfiLux 3 (eX) with an Upgrade-Kit. • Connection of external display and operating units (ProfiLux View-PAB) possible, also several to one system. • Internal clock keeps on running also during a blackout (Goldcap instead of battery, therefore no battery change necessary). • All settings remain also during blackout. • Universal analog (0 - 10 V) and digital inputs. Hardware ProfiLux 3 • 32Bit-controller – enough reserve of processing power and storage for future extensions • Inputs for pH-value, temperature, 2 x level (ProfiLux 3 eX has additional inputs for redox, conductivity and one more level sensor). • 2x expansion slots. Infinite further expansion with the PAB expansion box • 4x 1-10V-interfaces with additional shut-off signals, dimmable electronic ballasts can be turned completely powerless at 0% (6x for ProfiLux 3 eX ). • 2x connections for ProfiLux II-powerbars. • LAN (WLAN compatible: if a wireless bridge is used, a wireless connection is possible). • USB. • 2x ProfiLux Aquatic Bus (PAB)-Interface. • RS232-port, to connect a SMS-Module or a ProfiLux View, also suited for the connection to PCs, multimedia controller or house automation systems with RS232. • Graphical blue/white display. • Robust key pad. Hardware Powerbar-PAB • 6x separately switchable sockets each can be loaded with 15 AMP. • Current measurement for all sockets. • Safety switches in case of a failure of ProfiLux or PAB – sockets then overtake a preprogrammed state (on or off). Hardware Expansion Box-PAB • Inputs for pH-value, temperature, conductivity, Redox, 2 x level. • 5x expansion slots. • 4x 1-10V-interfaces (6x for ProfiLux 3 eX ).

  16. Nice choice on the bulbs. I run the AquaScience bulbs and like them. Very blue with a ton of pop..I bet that does look very cool at night! I wanted to compare them to the ATI blue+, but haven't yet. I've been looking for a superman digi..it is hard to find a real one as far as I can tell..had no luck in finding one. Put me on the list lol. _Matt
  17. That's a lot of savings over the standalone Profilux. I have the Profilux controller and doser and their products are worth the cost in my opinion. This knockoff unit provides a more affordable way to go which is cool as long as they work ok and provide consistent amounts. http://glassbox-design.com/2009/bubble-mag...pumps-roll-out/
  18. Love all those sweet sps in there..Looks great Rik!
  19. Looks great Chris. I see a lot of nice sps in there so it should be cool to see them progress.
  20. Yeah, that is what I got with both bucket tests. I am not too bothered with the 11dkH change water even with running the NeoZeo system w/ stones. After 9 weeks I am running at 8.6 in the display. Not sure why it doesn't settle more (not complaining!)..it sure did with the other zeo system I ran (5.5-6.5). Time will tell. I almost hope BW does not change the alk, but I have feeling they will drop it to 7.5 like it is supposed to be. Then everyone will want it to be higher lol.
  21. Yeah, I have noticed that smell too with the NeoMarine..wonder what that is all about. The smell goes away quickly though while mixing (minute or two). I am on 2nd bucket and it seems to be doing well. I liked RC too for the short time I had it going. The BW does not leave any sediment type stuff and rapidly mixes and clears...it compares very much to TMP. It is also more concentrated than RC from what I have seen. Takes less of it to get to the SG. I get these numbers in the NeoMarine change water container after an hour of strong mixing: @1.025 (refract. calibrated w/ Fauna Marin ref. fluid and Pinpoint 53.0mS fluid) Ca 420 Salifert dKH 11 Salifert Mg 1250 Elos K ~380 -> ~400 Fauna Marin Sr 4 - 10 Salifert Does that dkH # compare with what you have found Boret?
  22. Will be interesting to see how the above works out. The zeo stones with liquid carbon are not ideal in my opinion. They work, but are tricky to get tuned with lots of opportunity for error. Safer for most not to run any stones. Profilux doser works great. No complaints at all. I am upgrading the Profilux II controller to a III ($198) when it comes out in Oct. Profilux modular IC card build makes it easy to expand/upgrade..tho it's expensive if starting from scratch. On my tank I think I finally figured it out - though my corals are still in the recovery stage lol. When I switched from Fauna Ultralith to full blown Brightwell NeoZeo saw added positive change going on. The Fauna reactor had way too strong a pump on it which led I believe to the issues I had with alk and stn/rtn. I have followed the BW NeoZeo .pdf to the letter and swapped out that strong pump for an adjustable low flow one and have not seen any issues. My alk maintains at 8.6 (Brightwell salt) and I am at very low nutrients. With NeoZeo I am doing all the organics..restor/coralamino/Vita-C/Vita-M and all three zooplanktos to prevent starving symptoms..it works. I also dose all the named inorganics in the pdf. so all bases are covered now. Added 7 Bartlett Anthias a few weeks ago since I only had two fish...they like to eat so they should keep me from getting back into the coral starving issues. Other big positive was switching from Fauna balling light to Randy's two part. Anyway, I'll have to write this all up in my tank thread. Are you doing well with NeoZeo?
  23. For those that are into carbon dosing: http://www.reefinterests.com/content/view/18/36/ This looks like a good idea once it is worked out and tested. It's supposed to maintain the carbon source to be only within the pellets (you run them in a fluidized reactor) and thus negates the biofilm and cyano outbreaks that can occur on static surfaces when dosing liquid forms of carbon tank wide. The beads are a polymer that are not water soluble so they wont dissolve in high water flow..bacteria consume the carbon pellets until they are gone. My question would be how is the rate of consumption regulated and how it relates to N and P levels (just by the availability of nitrogen and phosphate?). If this can be tuned and regulated it might correct some of the issues with carbon dosing, not to mention remove the need to dose everyday.
  24. Beautiful project! Congrats on it..it looks fantastic. What are you going to use to maintain the water temp (heat)?
  25. Yep me too. I've had to cut back my dosing of Patassion and Strontion close to my water changes. I am on my 3rd week of full NeoZeo since switching from Fauna Marin Ultralith.
