    I have an Oceanic 180 black oak reef ready stand you can have for free. It is 2.5 years old and has been gathering dust in my garage.     I had the same problem with my bubbles stopping. I removed the regulator and blew out the line real quick. Bubbles went back to normal after that.

    i recently picked up 150 lbs from Dr. Mac (met them at BWI) and could not have been happier with the process - price is hard to beat when you take the shipping cost out

    If you mixed up a large amount of salt then it will take time, especially if this was mixed in a new tank with sand in it. You should leave the pumps on so that it continues to mix the salt. The fine powdery layer is most likely the IO salt settling. When I set up my 125, I mixed the salt in the tank and it took a number of days to settle out. Not too sure about the bad batch of salt, FWIW I have had a bucket of IO open for about 9 months without any ill effects. Just make sure you get a tight seal on the lid.
