We'll be there from 10/8 through 10/20 staying at Captain Don's Habitat.
  2. Thought about that, but it isn't a new unit, and the pump I put on it was only new to it..... it had been running on something else and I swapped it out. Still, I'll stay hopeful that the thing just up and starts spewing seahorse pooh into its little cup ASAP :-).
  3. Oh, there's plenty to skim, trust me :-). It's all over the place. It's driving me nuts. Seahorses are quite the mess creators, as are the gobis that also share the tank with them.
  4. Yeah, i did that.... no junk. Checked the baffles against the diagram in the manual. All was well. Cleaned around the set screw but left it alone.
  5. I have an Aqua C Remora on an Aquapod 24. It is not creating bubbles high enough to push anything into the collection cup. I replaced the pump in case that was the issue, cleaned the thing from top to bottom, and have the collection cup at its lowest possible setting. Does anyone have any idea as to why it wouldn't be working properly? Salinity level is 1.026 so that's not the problem. All I can say is *argh*
  6. I have never been able to get the III to communicate via wireless. My whole house is wireless, but the III just plain refuses. Never got it going.
  7. And just a bit of a caveat.... the venom in their stings MAY throw your body into anaphylaxis. Just as some are allergic to bee stings, so you might be allergic to lion fish stings. Be very careful please.
  8. I have a similar problem in that I can access my account ONLY using one browser but not the other browser on the same computer. Same MySQL error comes up. I emailed info but never got an answer. Nobody loves me. At least I can log in using this browser.
  9. Then there would be the other problem of trying to find some kind of a serial cable that would work with modern macs. There's also something just plain wrong about having to lobotomize my mac with windows. I would have to buy not only Parallels, but a version of Windows which I'm not sure I could ever bring myself to do. Oh the pain.... but thanks for the suggestion :-)
  10. I have one ACIII Pro and one AC Jr. Theoretically, I don't see where if one tells the Jr. that if alarm state exists, turn on socket on DC8 attached to AC Jr., which would then be plugged into DC8 on III Pro, and if III Pro's socket is on, then alarm and send email. If that makes any sense at all.... Or I may just be out of luck on that front unless there is an X10 module of some sort that, when triggered, fires off an email or an alarm that can be plugged into the Jr's DC8.
  11. Pods. My tank is full of them so my fingers are very crossed.
  12. Hmmmm... Makes sense. I'll give it a try tomorrow after I've slept off spending the day programming the Jr. Works great, less filling :-). The seahorses are happy.
  13. Because I figured it would be a lot easier to do it this way rather than running wires across a huge room to control tanks on opposite ends of the room. I just now saw the expansion module. I'm not totally sure how that would actually work, or how that might be 100x more confusing. I wasn't aware you could run cord as long as flowerseller said could be run. Does anyone have the expansion module now and are using it? D'uh... I had no idea you could run a control cord that far. Looking at the new module, the 174.95 is more than I paid for my Jr. And the DC4 is 125.00. Ouchie. I was so hoping there would be an easy way out..... Argh.. why does this have to be so complicated? I'll definitely buy a cord from you, flowerseller, if I can figure out how to justify the additional 125 or 175 cost. Somebody buy my 120 already :-).
  14. I was hoping for something with bluetooth that would simply send out an alert, without having to send the parameters (I know that my III pro emails me with all the tank parameters when it has a hiccup). It could be some "thing" that, when power is applied, it automatically sends the email or calls the cell phone or something. Yeah, it may not exist, but I want it anyway. Waaaa.
  15. There has to be another way. I can't run aqua notes on a mac.
  16. Does anyone know if there's any type of contraption that will send an email if tank parameters go wonky? I was thinking about something to use in place of the alarm. An audible alarm plus an email or cell phone call would be great. Anyone got any ideas?
  17. Oh is he ever GORGEOUS! You have to let me know if you get any of those in.... please please please. I'm still amazed by that HUGE seahorse you had at the social. If I knew more about him and had a ready tank he would have been coming home with me. As for the thong....uh.....no comment :-). Utterly gorgeous fish. May they live long and prosper :-).
  18. Sean at Fins and Feathers. He has bandeds right now and alligators, but the experts tell me that the alligators wouldn't do well in a reef and need a species tank. 2 pair of clowns, purple tang (a little one), hippo tang, powder brown tang, magnificent foxface, blue jaw trigger, copper banded butterfly, potters angel, some PJ cardinals. YAY! Really nice to see that someone else has them in a reef tank. I'm trying to keep myself from going nuts and putting up tons of little seahorse and pipefish tanks.
  19. How do you know he isn't? *cue twilight zone music here...*
  20. I just got two of these kids after a significant amount of research. The experts have told me that it's ok to put certain species of pipefish into my reef display, given that my fish are docile. I'm really excited to have them, and may be setting up another tank for different kinds of pipefish that don't go so well in the reef.

  23. How cool! I used to instruct out of GAI before the ADIZ. Ah, the old days when one could fly a plane without the risk of being shot out of the sky :-)
  24. Heh heh, having been both pilot and photographer I see and feel your humor :-). What'd you fly?
