Hello everyone. Just found the group's site after having had my tanks for about 2 months now. I'm new to all of this so the learning curve looks quite steep from here, but I'm trying anyway :-). I have an aquapod 24 with sunpod lighting, and an acrylic 120 with protein skimmer, sump system, and 2 maxjet powerheads. The aquapod is where I'm starting to learn about coral, purchasing frags and small bits from various places and seeing how they work. I have a few gobis in the tank with them, as well as peppermint shrimp, hermits, and snails. So far so good, mostly, although I lost a short tentacle plate coral recently. Boo hiss.
The 120 currently has no corals (til we get back from vacation end of Sept) a purple tang, flame angel, jawfish, watchman gobi, flame angel, pair of wrasses whose name I forget, pair of false perculas, and pair of black and white perculas (along with hermits).
My question is - is this anemone that rode in on a rock actually an evil majano, or an ok BTA? There have been plenty of votes on both sides, and I am confused. Thanks!
