Lighting: MH 10k vs 14k

I currently have 250w 10k's on my tank. Does anyone have picture comparisons between 10k and 14k?

 

If I remember correctly, the 10k's have a higher par than 14k. Other than looks, is that right?

If you actinic supplement I would go with the 10Ks

If MH is your only lighting I would go with 14K-

That is for most of our standard type tanks. Lots of variables -

Right now, I have 10k and can barely tell the difference with my weak 4 x 23w PC actinics so I dont even bother turning them on at the same time. I turn them on 2hrs before and after the MH's.

 

Thx. I just got in the MH groupbuy and since it's pretty cheap, I'll try the 14K's.
