Minimum Number of Anthias?

What is the minimum number of lyretail anthias it would be safe to add? I have heard some people say it doesn’t matter, some people say 5.... some 3.... what say you?

All joking aside I would add 1 male and 3 females if you wanted multiple

I added 3 females to my 125.  I now have 1 male (transitioned) and 2 females.  They get along great. I did get them all at the same time from the same store (Reef Escape)

How long have you had just 3 in the tank?

I have a 100 gallon. 4x2x20”. I’m thinking of rehoming a tomini and going with Anthias. My yellow tang does not care for my tomini. They are my only “big” fish though they are on the smaller side. I have a couple wrasses, a Fire fish , couple gobies. But I don’t want too many anthias. Maybe I could try 3. Might be a nice splash of color.

I Always add in odd numbers although I did have two pairs in the same tank with luck. Two males and two females and got lucky they didn’t fight. I always like to add 5 if possible.
