Tank location relative to a gas stove

I was just about to part putting water in my 75g, when all of a sudden the entire strip of vertical blinds came crashing down, almost hitting the tank. I subsequently decided not to put my tank  that area.  I told my family I wouldn't put the tank in the living room of this new place, but that means the tank will have to be literally a few feet from a gas kitchen stove.

My main concern is the gas and byproducts of burning gas. Is this going to cause a problem for the tank?

I'm not too concerned about temperature, since that can be controlled.

Yes huge problem with pH and general oxygenation. Secure the blinds instead. I couldn't figure out why my pH was so low until I tried Randy's trick for oxygenating my tank water in a sample outside and the pH rose immediately. Most houses are way too tight with gas exchange. The only thing that helped was having windows open WITH fan in window blowing in fresh air. But you can't always do that.

Thank you for the advice.

I ended up putting the tank back where it was. I don't trust the outdated clips used to hold the thing in place, so I secured the thing with bungee cords. It's not coming back down unless someone removes it intentionally.

This spot still isn't far from the stove, but at least it isn't next to it, it's across the room. The sliding glass door is behind it, so getting fresh air is easy. If needed, I can stick the airline for the skimmer out the door.

After having the tank filled and 40 lbs of sand (of 200) in it, I emptied it back out and moved it to my bedroom. I realized that in addition to issues being near a gas stove, the type of large apt building I'm now in usually means exterminators, and if it works like other places I have lived, they will come without notice and the tank will be poisoned. Then my family member used some kind of cleaner that made me have an asthma attack, and I don't want that getting in the tank either. I guess I will have to spend most of my time in my room to  enjoy the serenity that an aquarium brings to a room.
