steveoutlaw August 22, 2006 August 22, 2006 I tried to apply it with a Q-tip but it kept drying before I could get the pieces together. Will a syringe from an old test kit work?
flowerseller August 22, 2006 August 22, 2006 If it's weldon3, Yes. If it's weldon4, maybe, depeding on what accelerator you used. Weldon16 no, it will clog. You really tried a Q-tip?

ErikS August 22, 2006 August 22, 2006 You have to squirt it on, most any syringe or squirt bottle applicator will work (though you may only get one use).
dandy7200 August 22, 2006 August 22, 2006 I agree nothing beats the applicators that are made for the job. I have used a coffee stirrer like a pipette in a pinch, it wasn't pretty, but it did work. When the needles clog they can be cleaned out by running a lighter across them. Don't know if it works, but I sure know I will try it next time one clogs on me.
fab August 23, 2006 August 23, 2006 ACME Plastics is on General Washington Drive near Edsall Rd and I-395. They have everything you need for this and cheap. fab
davelin315 August 23, 2006 August 23, 2006 You can also go to a hobby shop. They sell the "needle" applicators. They're really nothing more than plastic pipettes that screw on to the top, so you may need to pick up an applicator bottle, too.

It's not so much that the needle clogs, syringes tend to fail because the stopper melts (the sealing portion). I've also used left over test kit syringes - worked fine for a few uses.
DEEPBLUE August 23, 2006 August 23, 2006 When I used weldon for my 90 gal sump, ( in the galley) I just used a 2" brush, it work great for me. Eric
