i need a serious replenishment of reef janitors.. what do you recommend and is a ebay a good place to go ?

the prices seem pretty reasonable vs lfs . i have bought chaetomorpha with success there already for the refugium. any caulerpa to look out for or micro algea that would also make a good addition?

i found this : http://cgi.ebay.com/50-Reef-Aquarium-Snail...1QQcmdZViewItem

local.. so could be good no ? for a 180 gallon are 50 enough ? i also have a 75 gallon refugium - would i put an additional batch there too?

what about hermits and other critters..

i have yet to add any flora until i get the nutrients and algea back under control (serious neglect). my three large tangs are doing great however.

thanks for your thoughts

I just ordered 350 of them for my 135g from the same guy. I asked for advice and was told that they were very reliable and that all of them showed up alive.

I'd definately get the 350 pack for your 180g........it's only 6 dollars more.

I've ordered snails and crabs from several ebayers, try to avoid anyone from Florida, the 2 shippmnets that I've gotten came with ick, but anyone from the north east or even the west coast have been great to me. And as you know you can't treat inverts with copper.

I would first pay the money to join the club and get in with one of the members group buys. The members here get great deals when we all get in together on large purchases. The last order I got 50 red tip hermits (nice size ones), along with 50 cerith snails and 50 nassarius snails. Everything was just $28.50, plus $11 for shipping, so $39 total. Awesome deal.
