dmward99 July 30, 2006 Share July 30, 2006 Hello I have an acrylic tank with some scratches.I wanted to clean the tank first and then tackle the scratches. What can I use to clean the tank?I think I read somewhere that I couldn't use window cleaner. Is this true and if so what can I use? Gadgets July 30, 2006 Share July 30, 2006 Congrats on the new tank. I don't know much about acrylic, but lets just say old credit cards are your friends. Try using some vinegar along with it. Wish I could give you more advice. Good luck!!!

kngfisher July 31, 2006 Share July 31, 2006 for scatches, try the Pentair scratch removal kit.....for the outside I use a damp terry cloth towl the kind that one would use to polish a show car with. non scratch.

ErikS August 1, 2006 Share August 1, 2006 Thank kingfisher but I already purchased the rainbow kit are they any good? Yes, just fine. Outside = microfiber cloth & some vinegar/h20 mixture if necess. Inside either a used CC or a Kent scraper w/ plastic blade (can be sanded sharp again).
