Keannis August 30, 2018 Share August 30, 2018 Can anyone identify what's going on with this monti frag? It's got soft, semi translucent white growths on the polyps all of a sudden and looks rather unhappy about it after months of doing great. I've googled but can't find anything similar. Thanks! mari.harutunian August 30, 2018 Share August 30, 2018 The polyps look ballooned. Could be coral warfare or something to do with light. Also i think that’s not a Monti. Cats paw maybe? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
madweazl August 30, 2018 Share August 30, 2018 Flat worms? I have a bunch on a monti cap and others on a turbinaria (may be the same species but I'm not sure). They've never bugged either coral and are cool to observe.
gmerek2 August 30, 2018 Share August 30, 2018 Looks like purple stylophora to me. Yea the flesh or polyps are ballooned. General stress in my experience
Keannis August 30, 2018 Author Share August 30, 2018 This is what I get for posting when I'm doing 14 other things at once. Yes, stylophora. Hrm. Wonder what's irritating it so much. Time to do some investigating and a water change. Thanks!
