New Sump Build for 125G Display

Hey Wamas, 
 
Today I'm picking up the glass baffles for a new sump going underneath the 125 and I thought I'd post the build as it goes together and see if anyone has suggestions along the way. 
 
I picked up a Deep Blue 33 gallon long tank from Quantum Reefs a couple weeks ago to replace the 20g long that I have under it right now.
 
This is the tank new, the other picture is the design for it all.

 

 

 
I'll also be updating the plumbing and cord management to a degree so if anyone has suggestions in those areas as it comes together then I'm all ears.

Got the glass baffles and I put one in for tonight, I’ll test it tomorrow to make sure I’m doing this correctly.

 

 

 

This is the current setup under the tank for the moment

 

 

Rough, I know. The other baffles will go in tomorrow and I’m using those two small black crates together to create a diy filter sock holder.

Added in baffles tonight and I’ll have two more to put in tomorrow night before I water test it.

 

 

I cut holes in the tops of the two little crates where I’ll stuff filter socks into and have a place to plop media bags as the water flows out the holes and over that first baffle.

 

 

Full tank shot, the sump will fill up about 3/4 of the black stand. Don’t mind the Tupperware inside, letting a new carpet anemone crawl out.

Good job dude. I would let that nem just go where it is going to go outside of the Tupperware, it's a false sense of control

I’ll definitely take you up on the gsp offer when I get out toward Alexandria next time. And the nem had anchored himself to the Tupperware and was being stubborn so I had to let it sit in there for a couple days until he decided to move out of it haha!
