Deliberately adding bristle worms?

I know they're considered a good detritvore and was wondering if people added these deliberately or if they're the sort that's "it'll eventually show up in your tank anyway" kind. Also wondering if they're worth adding at all or if the crabs/snails are good enough to not worry about it

My guess is you’d likely need a ton to make a difference and then should wear gloves cause you’ll keep getting bristles in your fingers. You’ll end up with them anyways. Probably not a big difference in the substrate. Outside the sandbed blue leg hermits do a good job and maybe brittle stars plus astrea/turbo if you have algae.
