Just based on the names of the authors I would say yes, of course. But depends on what you hope to get out of the book (purpose for buying it?).

I just got the book and it is ok .. not my favorite book. If you like Calfo I would suggest Book of Coral Propagation. It is an excellent book that has lots of valuable info IMO.

Good luck.

Does anyone have this book? Is it worth spending $15 to get it (It is $30 from Amazon but I have a coupon)?

Thanks

I am looking primarily for information about Tridacnid clams. But the other stuff looks interesting too.

John: what didn't you like about the book?

Extremely uneven. Some sections are full of useful information, presumably based on their own experience. Other sections seem to be based on guesses. For example, the sponge section was fairly useless if one were to want specifics on husbandry. It was as if they wanted to put together a comprehensive book, even if it meant they had to cover things that they didn't know much about.

The quality of the proofreading editing is pretty bad as well. Almost as if it were a first draft rushed into print.

I agree ... just not the same quality as other books. I am not saying it is a terrible book, but I would not rush out and buy it again.

Thats a shame. I think I will pass on this one then. Does anyone know of any books with more than just basic info on Tridacnids?

Have you looked at Knop's book? Sprung and Delbeek volume #1 has some good husbandry info as well.
