Joshifer September 18, 2016 Share September 18, 2016 Bought fully cured old live rock again from a tear down. (Offer up app) it's like 10 or 15lbs paid $8 it's actually really cool it's like 10 inches high has a spire like top. Really really cool to stick euphs on and a torch at the top. Bla bla bla it's been in a bucket about 5 days. I found some left over bio spira and poured it in there. It spiked the nitrites to 1PPM last night. now they are 0.25 PPM. High nitrates over 20 cus I keep dumping tank water in there from upgrade. Ammonia is 0 Once the nitrites hit 0 what's my next move? Here's a pic for the heck of it
sen5241b October 6, 2016 Share October 6, 2016 Yes, wait for nitrites to go to zero. You may wish to wait for nitrates to go to zero too. Depends on whether you care if that rock produces nitrates in your tank
